Ranger bow - String included?

I was wondering, considering none of the videos of the rangers actually have a bowstring seen. Is there one or none at all? Yesterday, for example, I played Age of Conan and Ranger's BoW was like d D, always standign like that. Bowstringwas there, but it wasn't moving in accordance to the arrows being drawn. In fact, they weren't drawn, but positioned into firing position and then fired.

So any word on that? That is one of the things that makes a game ugly or beautiful. And well programmed.

yeah. To be honest. Im sure its something thats quite hard to do (honestly may not be) But its something that personally grates on my nerves. Guild wars had very pretty bows. but lack of bowstrings just becomes annoying imo.

Nope, never seen it. I wouldn't get your hopes up -- all the NCsoft games I've played never had one.

I'm pretty sure Lineage2 had this 1px neon-colored string that moved accoding to the hand drawing an arrow. Only thing is that there was no quiver so the arrows you equipped came from wonder-land.

It doesn't really matter to me personally, but I can see where your coming from.

And your talking about arrows coming from nowhere? On my Titan I'd use a bow, then when I'd melee I'd pull out my big ol' 2-hander. Where the hell did that come from? Or Cabal, you can pull an astro bike out of your g-string! Crazy stuff there.

Yeah, I have a problem with this too, it is rather lame to see ammunition coming from another dimention and arrows being propelled by arm movements rather than a visually functional weapon, I mean, if the bowstring isn't there than they may as well be casting pellets with their bear hands, a real throw rather than a fake bow?

I think the only reason why they don't have it this time around is cliping issues.

FFXI did a good job with Bow string animations, but ranged wpns (including quivers) did not appear on characters unless they were in the battle animations ; ;

Would be very disappointing if Aion did a disservice to the Ranger class by skimping on some of these small details.

guild wars did have arrows being drawn back and all that but they didnt actually have any quivers or bowstrings... from what i can remember. but the no bowstring didnt really bother me, as from a distance it would be difficult to tell that there is a string there anyways. the imaginary arrows coming out of his back is a different story...

I would be dissapointed, if Aion didn't have bowstrings!
The grafic, as far as i've seen, is just great... and no bowstring would be lame ^^
and a quiver would be great
