Ranger a bit OP?
Well I was just browsing through some videos of Aion PvP and I came across some PvP between Rangers and other classes and they look a bit OP...
0:32~3:00 thats all a ranger that is dual wielding, they get good attacks long range and good attacks short range... the guy said its a bit out-dated in the video so idk if they are like that now but are they OP? |

Suits me just fine if they are. It's all early-mid game stuff and your character isn't usually very specialised in any particular area of combat in early game.

Well first time i said rangers were OP, people said that other classes like gladi or templar were "possibly" getting some kind of charge to balence things out. But it seems rangers atleast in the videos ive seen are just as good,if not better at melee than they are at range. lol So basically a gladi could charge, and continue to get raped
but atleast hed get a few hits in ++++ stun.

that is a very old vid and they did balancing in cbt 2 so it should be fine now

doesn't matter to me how much max dmg they do because HP will be balanced to it. some games max hit could be 100 other games max hits could be 20k. just a numbers thing, don't know what makes a designer want to use high numbers or low. i personaly like low to mid numbers. 200-400 type hits.

I would actually love to see a ranger vs a gladiator just melee fight from a current video...
I was thinking about it and being just a 100% melee ranger would be kickass(of course they have less skills made for close range combat so you would still use range at some points in time...) although I dont think that would work...because yes you do see the ranger hitting for 1k dmg but you see the gladiator hitting for 1.3k dmg like 3 seconds later Last edited by pyrocrazy; 07-07-2008 at 09:38 PM. |
