Up to par gear
Hi I've recently hit 30 so I decided to start crafting my *** off to proc some real nice blues so I just want to make sure the effort I'm putting in is for the right gear.
By time time I hit 35 I want to have Noble Worthy Strong Leather (Level 33: 210-250 Tailoring) gear - all except hat 2 Noble Topaz rings 2 Noble Rose Quartz earrings Noble Topaz Necklace Noble Lazuli Glasses currently I have Heraloenes bow (sp) when I hit 34 my guild said they would run me through [Group] Hold the line for the blue bow in quest reward. Just curious if this gear is good for 35 because I've seen alot of posts talking about going straight to Expert leather gear at 35. |

the accessories will last you a while... crafting all those will take you a ton of time/mats unless your lucky ofcourse.
Main thing about ranger is the weapon. I would focus on getting the Worthy Noble Ulmus Bow(Expert if possible). Another option is Fire Temple. The drops there has a similar stats that you listed including the bow if you are unable to craft. |

Then its Noble Quartz Earings till you get Lepharists version or level 47 green ones. Noble Saddness ring (it is usually so cheap that you can even craft it yourself without worrying too much) is good and cheap stuff that you can have. Replace with lepharists ring. As for neck, start with Noble Topaz Neck and see what else you can get (not much i suppose, but depends on your market) If you can get Aegir bow on 35 — go for it. It will last you till you get 41(43) epic bow. Also... never craft anything yourself. This can really get on the nerves if you are not the luckiest person ever. As a ex-wow player i just cant stand this craft system if a regular crafting result wont fit me i would never craft it myself. Last edited by Lieto; 11-05-2009 at 01:58 PM.. |

Check mats and try to find a crafter.
Its totally worth it even if you get it on lvl 37-38. I grinded mau and lepharists from 35 to 40 and sold all hair and written oaths so that nets me full strong set till level 38. Originally i was planning to craft 3 parts but i got one epic proc, sold it and bough the rest of the set blues. Also on our server prices started at 550k for gloves and boots and around 800-900 for legs / chest. It all depends on fluxes so camp ah and try to get those cheap. Other mats should be easy and cheap. Now prices are skyrocketing because there are more high levels and more kinah all around. Stats you should aim on as ranger are: 0. Phys.crit — only weapons and accessory got it so nvm. 1. Attack — rarely seen on armor as well. Just belts mostly. 2. HP — good stat all around if you dont want to get one shotted while kiting elites on occasional lagspikes. 3.1 Flight speed — if you plan to do any pvp its awesome (or ather gathering or abyss quests) 3.2 Flight time — awesome again. 4. Evasion — is good for the same reason as 2. Basically evasion is damage mitigation for rangers. Coupled with dodging 1 you can just tank non-elites later on. Everything else is rather sht and useless. If you get a blue item with p.def or MP or block you know that it is sht, since it got wasted stats. So basically expert strong leather got exactly that stats you need and thats why it is awesome. Also expert leather gloves are absolutely a must have since it got +attack speed. i agree that expert items REALLY help
with my templar i made a few millions from lvl 1 to 34 (so far) by selling all the fluxes i found and the crit stones i didnt need yes, i grinded 100% of the way, only quest i did was the 3keys, didnt any other quests literally, so that may explain the amount of drops, but at least it was fast and worth the investiment but IMO, unless you want to start PvPing soon, its not really worth spending so much on gear just yet, can easily live with greens for PvE and buy the good stuff when you are 40+ or even 50 then again.... a good weapon and +Aspd on the gloves=faster killing=faster XP depending on how much you have, it could be a good idea to at least get the offensive gear |
