Leveling Ranger 45+ (without Focused Shots)

So, what kind of stigmas do you prefer during leveling 45+.

Gale Arrow? Speed of the Wind?

FocusedShots is nonexistent on Votan-EU

edit: bestial fury doesn't exist either

Many Rangers prefer having Gale Arrow for grinding purposes, especially if they can't get FS but well I have it and for normal grind it's just too freaking MP consuming to keep it up. Bestial Fury>All for grinding I'm using it right now.

So then I guess you would be the best person to ask how has the decrease in range affected your kiting? are noticing a increase in deaths or just the use of health pots or are you still able to kite as effiecently do to the damage increase?

EDIT: sorry for the derailment post OP but it is still on the same lines as your orginal question

Just before I confuse people, I'm talking about normal squishy mob killing to level since the elite spots are terribly crowded all the time. Deaths, nope. Health pots, nope maybe a quick herb treatment sometime to recover a hit since the pot is mostly on CD by mana pots. With your Critical hit rate at soft cap or at least close you won't have to kite a lot. Weave in auto attacks whenever you can and the mob is knockbacked or interrupted almost all the time. No real need to kite with Bestial Fury at normal mobs since you rape them.

Good to hear, oh and I should have said no elites lol I don't think I would try to kite them with BF up. The only reason I ask is because I feel the only reason I kite normal mobs at my level is because my burst/selection of skills is not enough to kill in one burst and if I had BF the need to kite would be nonexistent. I just heard that mob scaling gets worse in the 40's and they have a large health pool and figured you would still need to kite.

Only if you choose high health pool mobs to grind on. There's some nice squishy melee mobs that cast skills when they come close to you. One of them being Gryphu's Lvl47 in Theobomos for example. Only got like 8k HP, low def, cast melee skills and get easily interrupted and knockbacked. With BF up auto shots hit for 300++ and crit for 500++ making it really worth weaving them in. About burst, well for normal mobs SS chain and Shock Arrow is enough there. I don't even have Explosive since I miss the 2nd slot still.

It will be nice to have half way decent auto attacks for once. I luckly have a guildmate that gave me the focused shots he found so I just have to wait 10 more levels to use it, although it seems like it will be a massive drain on mp I probably will reserve it for pvp use.

Focused shot sucks for PVE, I have it and use it for pvp.
The 1 second cast and 1 second animation time is too long, it doesnt really improve the speed you grind.
Plus that 250 mp drain....not really worth it in PVE.
God-like in pvp though.

I dont want to point out the obvious but imo by saying that he cant get FS this guy means that he cant get explosive shot.

I just got Bestial Fury, and it rocks for grinding elites. Much faster with more atk power and 20% faster speed. Sure its insane to kite elite mobs in a 10m Radius, but since i can do it pretty easily (as long as i dont lag it improves my killing speed by like 20% or so (44 elite take like 2:30 normally and with bestial it takes around 2 mins) and i totally facemelt those guys with bestial fury + mau form its like insta win :P

Works fine with Gust Arrow because you can shoot it while moving

can you do the same with explosive arrow, shoot while moving with it? or do you have to stand still, cant test it since Focused Shots is not aviable on my server except you buy kinah for real money and have like 50 mil or more if it ever is on the broker.

Personally I wouldn't level up without Beastial Fury as it makes grinding WAAYYYY easier.
If you can get both FS and BF the grinding will be a piece of cake.
But either way you can grind up even without BF/FS but then you'll lose BoB :<
I'm focusing on crafting until the patch comes so 40+ stigmas become more common 8)

bestial fury pretty cheaper than focused shots most servers thats why little easier to get it than FS

personally i can tell you try to get BF for grinding

45+ best mobs are indratu ambushers and troopers
would be problem grinding with BF at first 2-3 hrs but you will get used to it after while
when you pro kiter with BF you wont be same player, belive me your fingers gives way better reactions and you much more easy fight to players any pvp situation. yea BF kites improve ur playing skill alot

i dont prefer FC for grinding cuz Focused shots seriously drain your mana just insane. also keep up for every 10sec gives to much stress while u kiting low range

at lvl 45 -46
food buff + scroll you can kill 1 of em aprx 2min 30sec average
if BF up it will drop to 2min or little less
2 major mana pot + BF + FS you can get 1min 45sec kills

Bestial Fury; can lvl from 45-46 in one day. Theobomos plat coin mobs. With Mau it's possible to kill a mob in 3 seconds, literally. Elites with BF isn't nearly as easy as normal mobs so better do that. Elites don't actually give the best XP in the long run, it's the same as normal mobs at best; you don't kill elites nearly as fast.
I don't have FS yet and I could care less til I'm 50 when I'd need it for HM+Lethal so get Bestial before FS imo, it's def worth it.

But bestial fury doesn't exist, either.
