btw... does anyone else find it annoying that you have to use the mouse to fly up instead of holding spacebar like in WoW or was i just me?

Not being able to swim and the invisible walls are going to drive me insane. I guess I was spoilled by Warcraft, but not having the freedom to move where I want to is going to bother the crap out of me, ESPECIALLY having wings and being stopped in mid air by a wall. And I think I even saw a wall of trees in a video of verteron (sp?).

You do know you can change your keybindings, right? Game Menu -> Options -> Keybinding

Default for "going up" is R, change that to spacebar, there you go.

Am I the only one that doesn't want to use the keys to move? How can it not be annoying to hold down keys all the time? Point and click is so much more simple. Thank god NCSoft kept it in this game as well. I haven't played it yet though (will be this weekend), but I have a feeling it's going to be like how WoW's point and click is which is pretty useless.

Playing mmorpgs with point and click is indeed more simple. Simple in a bad way that is. You don't have the same level of control over your character as with using the keyboard, and this puts you at a serious disadvantage especially in pvp.

You can't currently keybind the spacebar to "up" if you have it bound to glide/jump. I think the poster was referring to binding it to both jump and "up" as it is in WoW. Unfortunately for WoW, it does not have a glide feature. Aion does and I think it works quite nicely. It's just a command strangeness that you'll have to get over I think. I agree that it's weird.

Using click to move in Aion does two things. It prevents you from using the movement buffs (acc/dmg/def) and it makes it impossible to fly to a non-attacking destination. I suppose they could implement a "homeworld" type vertical axis toggle to specify your point in the three dimensional plane but other than that, it's pretty much a lost cause. You could argue that you want to use click to move on the ground and WASD in the air. That's fine and exactly why both options are available.

I'm an L2 person so we are all point and click people. But the flying in l2 (yes there is flying combat now!) i do have a tendancy of using the keys just for the same reason. Also it seems to get all confused as to where exactly you want to go. Anyways guess I can get used to holding down the damn W button..lol.
