Good review, probably should have commented on the blandness of sieges, but other than that seems it's covered everything.

This is an excellent review. I don't agree with some of the issues pointed out but the majority of it is very accurate and well written. Hopefully NCSoft takes a look at this, it's one of the best leaning a bit more negative reviews on this site that I've read.

I can't really disagree with any points, but I can't recall playing any game where mobs AI was particularly advanced and made for a challenging levelling process. Except maybe FFXI, but the mobs in that game were designed around being killed by groups, so...

Anyways, good review.

All in all - I think this is a well written review that doesn't seem biased or like you're saying "I hate this game so I'm gonna dwell on why and tell people not to buy it" The only part I disagree with is the linking of the WoW related stuff. Of course WoW will have a bit better customer service as they've been around so long and are pulling in tons of cash to hire a big staff. And I know, NC isn't broke, but it would be foolish of NC to turn around and dump all their money into this game so early, they've collected 1 months worth of subscription fees. Now I know someone will say something along the lines of "well they won't keep getting subscription fees when people get mad about this or that and quit" But honestly, think of the game itself, not the bots - not the siege crashes - if you enjoy what's left and working properly you're not likely to leave over these at least not within the first few months. The people that quit because of those I'm sure had other reasons as well that they didn't express for fear of being flamed for not being a "hardcore gamer"
Anyways like I said, fair review but anyone interested in buying this game, if this review turns you off to it, keep checking these forums every now and then, these things will be fixed over time and we'll have a very enjoyable game.

It is a coherent review, but I think you should take a rest from posting about how zealous your feelings are for Aion, we all want broken things fixed, but it's out of our hands atm; up to those crazy korean boys.

This was actually a really useful review and pretty good player feedback. I don't understand why you wasted your time with all the other posts and with baiting and trolling. Maybe you were just angry and disappointed in a game you had high hopes for... that is understandable.

Hopefully you will get traffic on your post, although some people might skip it, just because of the author.

I thought about that too... but can't disagree with what the OP has written - its a really good review overall

I didn't spend the time doing it. The bottom line is this. There is a LOT of people on this site, where if someone even mentions "WoW" they completely shut that person out or bait them for trolling. If you read my other posts, the first one just predicts what other players will do. The people on this site suck. This community is represented by quite a few who are ripping this community apart. THOSE people need to be banned. Not someone with a valid negative opinion. Just because my opinion doesn't praise Aion, doesn't mean that my posts aren't constructive. Try re-reading a couple of the threads I've posted in.

Great review and I concur with just about everything you describe, even the ratings..

I would (personally) add that there seems to be a serious lack of meaningful pvp content. Meaningful as in actual calculated, skill based pvp. Not zerg gank fests, or random ganks, or chasing someone all over the abyss to guards. I would love to pvp more, and try so hard to, but it is just too hard to find. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but i just cannot find good pvp in this game. It is just gank or be ganked. Lvl 50 hunting down 35s, or 10 lvl 40s hunting down solo lvl 30s. Or sparse fort sieges that, as you described, dont even work. Even if they did work, there is just about no technique involved in them, other than amassing more people than the opposition, which is very easy to do for the attackers, since there is basically no incentive for defense.

Very good review btw...
