IMO rangers are a kick *** gold at the end of the rainbow class. You have to suck for a long time to end up with the good stuff. side note, SM's are a VERY fun class too. I have a lvl 20 -20 of every class but healers and ranger and SM are my favorites, templar a close 3rd though I dont like MT. Templar is the best tank class in any mmo hands down as far as fun goes. |

Both priest classes would compliment you, I leveled up my ranger with my chanter friend though and was a breeze. Course now I want to level my chanter more cause that class looked fun hehe.

heh, some people have no idea what their chatting about in this post, but alot of people do
![]() Rangers sustained dps, is one of the worse ATM, BUT, their burst is one of the most powerful in the game. One well timed combo with attack arrow chain and rupture arrow chain can easily 1 shot any light armoured toon, sometimes even gladiators. However, in patch 1.5, the introduction of reduced CD on attack arrow and rupture arrow makes our burst more common, and also, the introduction of crit on bows being increased as well as our sustained damage ![]() So all in all, rangers are increadibly difficult, and most noobs will drop out at 20 when they see a sorc killing things 3 timess as fast as you, but will be crying when your at 30 and they get facerolled ![]() Hope this helps. |

I was going to play a chanter at first till I tried out the ranger class, and it is as people are saying, they are fun but becomes really good after 16+ 19+. I always played melee classes in other games and I've completely gone against my nature with this, honestly I never seen myself being able to enjoy a ranger class before and I must say that it really depends if you wanna stand there and smack mobs or if you prefer the ranged combat.
If im not mistaken the assassin is getting a tiny nerf in 1.5 and the rangers are getting a tiny buff when it comes to the cooldowns(?). But honestly, the damage difference shouldn't be compared when it comes to the playstyle since they are completely different. My bf will be playing a sorcerer and I'll be going ranger. Im really not fuzzed about the damage differences, I wanna play a class I enjoy and rangers look good while doing it too. |
