Yeah, assassin usually get some range attacks(like throwing weapons or bow usage) but never, never nearly as powerful as hunter skills. And vice versa with hunter.

I have more or less settled on Ranger, just for the mere fact that it seems like such a fun and challanging class to master, I was initially looking at Spirit Master but they just seem so easy to play that I just wanted to have a challange in game and I think Ranger will be that class for me

Spirit Master easier to play then Ranger? Doubt that. Pet classes are usually hard to play, while those akin to ranger usually easy.

Well from my understand is that the spirit master is suppose to be easier to level with, not sure about their PvP capabilities but many have said that the Ranger and Assassin classes are harder to level with and harder to master.

Also my experience with WoW is that the Pet Classes are easier play, in fact it made the game almost easy mode, I really hope the spirit master would be hard to play but it just doesn't sound like that from everything I have read, the only real hard part is which element to use on which mobs. *shrug* we'll see, I really hope that all the classes are challangine to play/level

Well, based on other games... Both of you are right ^_^! Pet classes are usually simple easy mode for PvE... but hunters usually have pets.. so >.> Lol. I'm sure hunter here will be a lot harder to play than hunter from WoW though for the lack of pet... However they will get knock-back skills, which won't replace pet... but has a similar effect; keeping the enemy in range-attack distance.

i'm rolling a ranger for sure, but i think i might need to have an assassin as well. just for fun.

I'll play a Ranger. I almost always play a scout class, and it's usually an assassin/rogue type. But I grow dull of that style of play! I used to play primarily range-damage classes in earlier games than WoW, so I feel going back to that will be a nice idea. Besides, I never liked being torn to shreds the moment I leaped out of stealth!

Couldn't have said it better! Bows are exactly that, more graceful and awe-inspiring, and whenever I think of the two types of weaponry, I always see bows being more of a skill to use then guns. And my love of bows is what will draw me twords Ranger big time (also a lack of a hand-to-hand melee class, but thats not a biggie )

PS: Seldom, you have to stop looking so cool with your avatar, that too is awe-inspiring

I've decided with Assassin mainly because I prefer close combat, high dps types. That left me with either an Assassin or Gladiator, but Gladiator is just too straight-forward for me to consider. Assassins just seem a lot more versatile.

Assassin. Bows in games tend to have boring, unvariable Skill Animations.

Ohhhh I see! Wow, I havn't even looked at the poll results for the last week or so. I love seeing one of two things:

1) The class I choose happens to be less played

2) There is no majority class. (i.e. no 70% ranger 20% assasin 5% tank 4% healer 1% chanter )

I am trying to remember what game it was... it might have been RF Online I think, where some of the bow skills had you jump in the air, shoot arrows down, spin around mid air, and shoot a final shot. It was so dramatic and to date, was the best use of bow-style animations I have seen in any game ^^ Perhaps Aion will have some dramatic bow effects!
