Ranger, because killing everyone from range before they even know where you are is the most rewarding thing in pvp. (To me)

I had a Marksmanship Hunter in WoW. I hated having pets. It was more of a nuisance than anything IMO. Rangers in AION seem to fit the bill perfectly.

Here's hoping for various kinds of arrows!

I will also be a ranger ive decided to take a backseat from healing in this mmo and from what iv seen of rangers they seem perfect to me

Assassin for ever without a doubt! Allways played fast DPS classes.

I usually would go Assassin on any MMO...but for a while now I've wanted to try my hands at a physical ranged class and since Aion has an Archer class I decided to go Ranger..plus the fact that in Aion Rangers can stealth is awesome! Though if Ranger isn't the way I'm hoping it will be I might just re-roll as a spiritmaster~

Assasin all the way.
And recently my freinds discoverd that if possible, in everygame i play. I will duel wield. What can i say though, its true

What i have been trying to figure out though, is about how many different ablilties assasins will have, at higher level mainly speaking.

Personally I've always hated using bows. Too cowardly for my taste, and even though I also don't care for stealth, I like the speed of an assassin and being in your face without having to wear a tank upon the body to resist attacks. Dual wielding and leather armors are a plus, too.

I personally would like to learn more about both classes first. I have played both ranger and assasin type classes in many games. I just hope that they don't make the mistake of making assasins too much like warriors, but with slightly less armour and that the class really specialises in the *stealth* aspect. E.g perhaps you could sneak behind an enemy (enemies could detect you, but as your *sneak* level increaces, the chance drops, harder foes - harder to sneak on) and stab them in the back of the neck or something. That seems like a good idea to me, or atleast, very different to the upfront assult or stand back and cast methods of playing.

Yeah, I'm torn here. I play a 70 hunter and a 70 rogue in WoW, also played a 75 Samurai, 75 Ranger and 75 Thief in FFXI. It's a tough call. I wish there would have been a beta for NA/EU in order to make this decision prior to release more easily.

Regardless, it looks as though it'll be one of the two for sure.

Oh god do i EVER hear you! I was a Survival hunter from day one of release, and with the current changes going on in that game (on the beta for WotLK), I've all but canceled my account. I hated having to use a pet. 90% of the time i never bother to summon the thing.

Whenever I play an MMO I usually go Mage or Assassin/Thief. But I've always had a passion for bows :P So, Ranger!

I've played a healer class and a ranged class in WoW... and I was going to make a rogue/assassin class after my hunter but never had time... So I be playing an assassin in Aion ^^

Always Been a ranger in every game i played and not gonna stop now, i love using tactics and i simply love how they look and the bows <3 , i played a few games that the archer was really weak in but i still played it nonetheless, but the ranger in this game looks awesome to me, hope they also play a very valuable role in the game.

mhm I also will be a ranger im also very fond of pwning ppl form a distance before they even know whats hitting them and having all the good survival traits to back it up + i been them in countless other mmos so Im famalier with the play style / pvp style.
