So much ignorance in this thread. I'll break it down to you.

YES you can fly while hide mode. You can hide and then start to fly, you can fly and land without the hide breaking off. BOTH classes can do this.

YES you can glide in hide mode. But you need 20% speedboots or sprint to be able to do this. (You get free speedbots at 37 from a quest so not a big deal.)

So simply: yes.

Wrong...you most certainly can hide then bring out your wings and start flying. It does not break stealth. I do it all the time on my sin.
