The below won't work. How are you going to tell me that someone who just grinds all day is a bot.. You can't justify that. I know people IRL who literally, grind because its easier/faster than questing etc... the EXP you could get running from town to town turning in a letter here and there, the person grinding could do the same, if not faster.

So how can you say that ALL people who have 0 abyss points, no quests done, etc.. are bots? That's retarded to assume such an asinine approach to this.

I for one am all for kicking the bots out, but you can't just go on a witch hunt and anyone who doesn't respond in the first 2 nanoseconds is automatically a bot.

- almost no abyss points gained at all
- almost no quests finished at all

Those 4 factors combines makes it 99.9% sure it's a BOT. Then they will also see that:

- they will most likely not be in a legion
- they indeed have strage names like "qlkjdsqslkilk"
- they always use the same skill rotation
- they always hang around the at the same spots for a long time

And I'm sure there are many more paterns to be discovered....

Lots of things can be automated to discover those anoying bots, combined with players reporting them, and get out 99% of the botters. And have something done about those personal stores in game that promote RMT... make reporting available in cities!!!

I warned everyone in these forums that Aion was too kinah dependent during beta and got flamed for it. You gotta love those mindless fanbois. Seriously, this is too little, too late. NCsoft should have been ready for the botters and spammers and had legions of GMs online, waiting to ban them starting on release day. I am done with Aion. I have gone back to WoW.

Right, because you can't hire one nyerking GM for each server. Too expensive - rather start some awkward PR campaign and spread bs through aion communities.

On Votan you have 5 to 7 kinah seller shops in each city(Sanctum/ELtnen/Heiron). They sit there since 4 or 5 weeks now, together on the same spot and each of em is promoting a diffrent kinah seller site. Isn't that lovely? btw these guys are the only ones who use the private shop system, which CANNOT BE BLOCKED, so you have to see this **** every time you visit one of the named cities.

GJ NC, I impatiently craving for the next NCsoft game!

My thoughts:
They can hire Jack Thompson for all I care. What we needed is a clean up (live GM) guy who walked around every places and look at every players and actually working instead of sitting in a desk and waited for a player who actually have time to write about this bot"fgigsfk" who are farming. Why would a player have to do the work? That's NC Soft job for crying out loud. Bout time they start hiring.

Second thoughts:
What sup with all these confusing job description? Are they hiring Superman? How bout just hiring someone who are just there to banned any suspecious botter then later on send them an email message saying "Thank you for playing Aion. You have been banned for such and such. Have a good day. We hope you don't come back anytime soon." ... Wait, I have to get this 1 report of bot done so that other 10 live bots that I'm currently seeing on my screen will have to wait for investigation.

Dunno how is in Aion but i am shore if they go and hit them hard you will still see bots but they will be "guarded" by people with real player names but farming to sale gold because 3$/1 mil when 1$/h in rural China is very good pay is worth the trouble.

This would still be better than the current situation. There are still bots and gold farmers in many other games, but if they were controlled down to the levels we see in other games, most people wouldn't really care.

I've seen a train yesterday for the first time with templar as head (player controlled) teamed cleric+assassin bots in beginner area (i thought fair enough since templar is an arse to level (jk))
