Hardware,Software YES // NO ?

I know it's nothing related with aion or something, but what if we add a thread of Hardware & Software support.. for the people who don't know what to buy in order to play Aion or maybe some other help that definatly can be usefull for one another, well .. it's not up to me but atleast post your oppinion.l ! Greetings, Cruz.

It could be nice yeah, considering games relate to hardware in many ways.

Yes! from me.

always a good idea to have a support forum for hardware/software issues...

might help if we knew more about the system specs, but having the forum is definitely worthwhile imo...

Lemme get some clarification:

An all-purpose hardware/software help forum under "Chitchat" or an Aion-specific help forum? Considering Aion's not out yet, I'm guessing you guys mean the first.

By the way, I'd like to see more suggestions. I know AionSource.com is almost as perfect as Jesus "the Man" himself, but there's got to be something we can do better! It seems like all suggestions dropped off after we got the new skin (and upgrade).

I think general Hard Ware Software section under the Everything Else Heading.

I think it needs to be specific Section so we can have threads defining issues rather than just tailing them on and them getting mixed up.

I think that a hardware/software thread would be useful for people with generic issues/questions. It probably wouldn't see much traffic since we rarely get off topic and start discussing things like Killer NICs and Aegia PhysX but it does happen from time to time.

I also think a "Tech Support" forum would be useful once the game is released since there are destined to be "My PC BSODs/has poor framerate/fog issues/rendering issues/image quality issues/stutters/etc" threads.

Might be an idea to make a pre-emptive strike on that aswell. So we dont have the need of moving posts from general discussion and the like.

Although we don't know the specs for the game yet, doesn't mean we can't discus various hardware topics. We do know the specs for Farcry anyway. Will probably be more or less the same.

Actually at first glance, I thought the suggestion was for when Aion came out, but now that general hard/software support lays on the table, I approve even moreso. Might want to put a link in there for NCSoft's TechSupport, so people know where to go when all of us are lost.

Well.. having a hardware support thread would be nice and beneficial but I agree with having it Aion related because I wouldn't really like to see it go through the roof and have everyone needing help for viruses etc and flooding the forum. This way it can be kept moderated well and everyone will have their fair share, unless theres a sufficient amount for widerange hard/software support

Just my two cents..

Yeah, it wouldn't be a bad idea. Not something I would probably participate in much, but it would have its uses.

It has been created, so not much point in this thread anymore.
