Disable pic resizing

Just a though, I find it annoying to have to expand every image in a screen shot thread...I know why the pic resizing is there, but perhaps an option to disable it in User CP if people dont want them to be resized.

Picture resizing is the best thing ever invented . I have a 17" screen on my laptop and I hate when threads break, and I can chose what image to resize, it's great. While my main PC has a 22", it's still very nice to have the option of being able to resize. Is there an option to disable the picture resize for those that dont want it perhaps?

Umm... Is there maybe an option/coding possibility to hover over the image link and it would open the same way as attached images?

Onclick>Onmouseover for the lightbox imo, now it's a bit annoying.

Exactly. Accidently go over an attachment and you have to click to not see something you don't want to see.

Unlike resize where you are clicking to see something you do wish to see and have a better idea of what it is in the first place since it isn't a thumbnail.

I agree with Diablo and Fleiva. Its not that annoying, just a bit of an inconvenience. Keep the pic resizing though, as you said, the forums would break and would look a mess.

I didnt say get rid of it entirely....I said allow people the ability to turn it off if they dont want it...The default setting could be on...Its just I found it kind of annoying to have to goto a screen shot page and manually open up like 50 pictures and have them reload each time....Plus some people might use bigger resolutions and not require it...I just simply prefer to see them in full size as it doesnt really slow my page loading time down.

They load in their full size, but they just get resized. So you wont reload them when you click "resize".

This is how it works:

Thread is loaded, images detected. When image a has finished loading the resize code resizes it so it fit within the thread width. It gives you a perfect overview of all images and each image is only a click away to view in its full size, can't get much better.


As for your request, you can now change it in your settings.

Go to "User CP" -> "Edit Options" and then scroll to Thread Display Options :

Image Resize

This forum automatically resizes images which are too large. Please choose below how you would like to view the enlarged images.

Please select the resize mode :

Image width

Images wider than this width will be resized. Enter 0 in the field below to allow all widths, or leave the field empty to use the default value of 640:

Image Height

Images taller than this height will be resized. Enter 0 to allow all heights, or leave the field empty to use the default value of 0:
