Good ol sorc?

Definitely Sorcerer over pet class.

Pet classes are great targets for nerf bats; they always at least seem over powered at first and get their teeth bashed into a niche. But we'll see.

My alt will definitely be a sorc.

Yep I was also proned to the Ranger class but it seems to rely on weapon a lot, it needs swords, arrows and a bow. I prefer having a single weapon that can keep me alive. Unless there are no quivers and weapons are cheap then it might be an interesting option.

Cost of weapon is fine .. though having to upgrade multiple ones to ownage levels might be a problem very quick.

I just don't like relying on more than one weapon, swapping weapons is a painful task when grinding a couple hours.

I'll be rolling a sorc as my main - followed by a chanter - and then a spiritmaster. I love being a glass cannon in every MMO and having some of the most vibrant animations helps too (: . But from what I've seen - it looks like every single sorc and spiritmaster wears the same armor :S

I don't think it will be the case when the game is released. We will eventually see armor sets with better stats towards the sorcerer, or atleast we will be able to change them using socketed gems. (Or down right use dyes)

even i go for gladiator a friend of mine is interested in aion and wants to create a sorcerer and i wanted to ask if the sorcerer in aion owns any dark type atacks or is he only using elemental atacks ?

ill be playing a sorc, definitely!!! I've always been a fan of spellcasting classes in every freaking videogame, so yeah, my main will be a sorc!! \m/

although, i'm still not used to seeing spellcasters with books instead of staves, i've always loved staves, but i'm sure i'll get more than used to books :3

I think the spellbooks look downright cool. and they are flashy I hav'nt seen this much flash since i played FFXI and ate an apple pie

Do sorcerers use orbs as well as spellbooks? I don't remember too well at the moment. If so, I'm wondering what the differences will be..

no, sorcerers use books. orb is spiritmasters weapon.

It's strange that in the Wiki they state that the Sorc uses both types' orbs and books.

Well Irisviel told me otherwise. ofc i believe sorcerers will be able to use orbs because of the stigma system...
