I have to say from everything i've seen so far, sorcerers are finally getting some nice armors. I really like the robes. And about the book as weapon, i think it is absolutely cool. Seems more "realistic"

Maybe its realistic, but model don't change at higher lvl's, looks same as low lvl. Mamy skin can be more detailed, but nothing more...

At movie, we see that sorcerer have book whit a glowing symbol, thats all. Staff will also look good whit sorcerer.
Anyway its a beta, they will add more weapons like books or staffs.

Itsa a bug when u throw a spell yours weapon disappear? Do they fix it? Its realy stupid wearing a weapon that you can't use in battle! ...

It would be cool if you could kind of customize the way your gear looks, correct me if im wrong, but in AION you can just change the color of the armor right?! It would be cool if they kind of put a CoH aspect of customizing you gear into it, obviously that would take a lot of resources, but this way no one would look alike in their armor, like Lineage 2 ><

Skeletor is epic =) but as far as armor is concerned I was never a fan of mega huge bulky armor with like a dozen spikes sticking out from everywhere. First and foremost it dose not look practical, and in my opinion armor should look like armor, several metal plates what not and some chain/leather underneath. I dont need my armor to be adorned with glowing skulls that have spikes sticking out of their foreheads, its just... tacky.

i am hoping they stay with robes for mages maybe a happy medium from the Light elfs and Dark elf in L2. Go dagger or a staff (which they should not really need). Mages need to be able to move freely to cast there spells, not read them from a book.

Oh yeah of course, the whole robe thing is great. The giant people in hunks of metal don't really appeal to me. And the spell books are ok, but since theres a stigma you can use w/e you want I believe.

P.S as you can tell, I love fancy, flashy things . And as a side note; sorcerers are looking kickass so far!

Yeah I was just thinking the same thing...cause when I think of a place to buy weapons my mind automatically goes to the word library. Yeah...no. Get off the friggin books.... give us some light-weight looking types of swords [1-handed] or fancy looking mage blunts [1-handed]or a wicked looking staff. Maybe I'm weird ...but that is more realistic to me.

But see if you want to get realistic about it in a "Fantasy" type game, the book would obviously be a spell book....its not like your reading mother goose while launching giant fireballs at people.

The only MMO I know of that you can do stuff like that is CoH/CoV and I agree it was very cool to have an aura about your character! ^_^
Hopefully somehow they will find a way to add some kind of auras in Aion!
