Zyuu was talking about the general sit function, an action that doesn't require any hp/mp/dp. While in the sat down state, your recover hp and mp much faster. Pretty common in MMORPGs actually.

At level 38 as an Elven Mage it took me 11 minutes to fully regen, my amount of mana gave me enough to fight for 5 minutes. What a pain, especially when I wore the best D grade gear offered at the time.

well from what i seen in the closed beta previews MP goes very fast. 3-5 spells and gone.. i guess thats the price you pay for major nuking skills.

MP regen should be fast enough so you do not have to "rest" after every encounter like in FFXI. I hope it is more like GW where it depends on what profession you play. Elementalist has faster mp regeneration than a warrior.

That was the main reason I couldn't continue playing an Elven Mage in L2. I would have so much down time that I'd be falling asleep waiting for it to regen. Good new though is that Aion doesn't sound like it will be the same way so yay!

Erm... what about MP Pots guys? Are there any kind of those MP Potions ? Maybe if you can buy Pots pretty cheap and use them almost 'instant' lets say with 2-4 seconds cooldown, there won't be anymore any people trying to rest by sitting, i donno, but i learned from other mmo's, that the MP regen system is one of the most important thing to know.
It's really a pain, if you have to regen MP all 2-4 mobs you killed, and if your regen time, is larger then the fight one, the bigger is the pain. |

Necromancy ftw? Anyway:
I played a LVL12 Mage at the GC. You kinda run out of mana very fast!! But there are ways to prevent that. Get some food that increase your regenration, use the skills to increase regenration, use manapots to instant get mana(with cooldown) and use the 2 other spells to instant regain mana. I think its like 15-20 seconds to fully regenerate life and mana when sitting.

I played a lvl 12 Spiritmaster and Chanter at PAX. While playing the Chanter I rarely had to check on my MP mainly because I was playing solo and didn't have to cast many buffs, I never had to rest for MP. Playing the Spiritmaster, I had to keep my eye on the MP but never had to stop and rest. Maybe it is my playstyle, but I didn't really have any MP issues with ewither class, also MP pots were really cheap.
