Don't get me wrong I don't mind the Harry Potter films but am not a "die-hard Harry Potter Fan?.

My wife has read all the books multiple times and makes me watch the movies quite often. Again they aren't bad movies but they aren't all I live for.

I do expect that the stigma system in the game will give us all the option to personalize our characters more.

Anyway back on topic. We can only speculate here. Barely anything is known about the stigma system, let alone the difference between staffs and books.
What I can say is that I rather use staffs than books, why? Looks. Can' really have another opinion at the moment now, can I? Depends how staff look like in Aion too and how the animation looks like. Can't say I don't like books either.

I'm, Definately diggin the spellbook. I've used staves in plenty other games, never a spellbook though. Looking forward to an "authentic" feeling change.

Book. My sorcerer without a book = unhappy sorcerer. Staff is a nice second option, but i would prefer the dusty tome.

Yeah me too. I saw the animation of sorcerer fighting with a book and it looked very nice. It makes sense for a sorcerer to fight with a book to look up spells. And i think (i might not be right on this) but it looked like he was tearing off the page and throwing it at the mob 0.o

spell book is a nice thing for a change.

I was reading hellrose's guide, its mentioned in it that sorceror can't equip staffs.
I could be wrong ^___^

Anyone remember the Warcrack TBC trailer with teh Drainei paladin flipping through his book and then the runes on his armour glowing? Always wished we could do that in wow... If Aion does something like that scene for the Mages... then I think that will be cool.
