Abyss Gear at 50?

Im just wondering what other sorc's plans are for abyss gear come the time they hit 50. I think a general consensus is to grab all the lvl 30 gold accessories (rings, neck, ear, belt) and then save up for the 50 elite set.

I really don't think getting the entire lvl 50 gold set is an option for most people so im wondering if anyone has looked into the actual + - of the 50 blue or 40 gold/blue set pieces as an alternative. I know several SM's have decided they are getting the full 40 abyss set first because their gear scaling does not matter as much as it does to sorcs.

Anyone else pondering what to spend their ap on at 50?

50 ring (already have 1 30 ring)
50 belt
50 earring
50 earring
50 ring

Then it depends on what I have and don't have from my armor.

I don't think getting a full 30 jewel set is a good idea because it has such low magic resist. It would be better to get lvl 50 pve jewels.

Oh yeah, if you DO want a 40 set of some kind, I highly recommend you get the Non-elite stuff because the elite set bonuses are pretty lol for how much extra they cost.

This is what im trying to weigh,

Here are the stats for the Lvl 30 Ring,

65 Magic Resist
60 MP
15 MB
10 MA
60 HP
7 Flight Time
1.6% pvp attack.

The 50 Abyss ring.
92 Magic Resist
84 MP
21 MB
10 Flight
15 MA
84 HP
2% PVP dmg

Difference between 30 - 50
+27 Magic Resist
+24 MP
+6 MB
+24 HP
1% dmg.

Now is that difference worth 109,700 AP and 16 Gold Medals, to me personally that isnt worth the small upgrade.

In terms of Armor I think there is a bigger difference in the actual pieces.

I completely agree; however, it becomes increasingly more difficult to obtain AP as you gain more ranks because you lose more AP when you die and mobs/players give you less AP after a kill.

It is so easy to make the first 100k. The next 100k is going to be hell.

I think it is better to buy all the cheap accessories and let them help you along the way.

It's the same philosophy as not getting the weapon first.

I also think that 27 M resist has more credit than you give it... especially for sorcs.

Plate class has gimp m resist anyway so it doesn't matter how much they stack. For cloth, you actually have the chance to resist stuff.

gold pve sets, miragent is kinda trash for sorcs and Anuhart Sorc never drops.

lev30 gold ftw, bruv!

You want the 6x socket and dmg redux, its a small diff from 30 to 50 otehrwise, you gain more hp and more MB but the cost is too steep to go at from the get-go.

Fix some gear to solve your survivability, then go from there
