Spiritmaster skills

So will the Spiritmaster JUST have spirit summoning skills, or will it have other more sorcerer-ish spells too?

I think they will have some sorcerer-ish spells but not as strong as the sorcerer.

I think the skill list has been added to the Wiki but like Olav said they have some nukes but they won't be as strong as a Sorcerer's nukes.

I think they will have ALOT of pet buffs, pet healing and perhaps enemy debuffs. They will have some of the lower end of the sorcerer's skills set with a few unique nuking spells to keep them happy.

there was a video sumwere of a spirit master pulling off an aoe fear so im guessing they will have general nuking, pet buffing, debuffing, aoe and some CC

Irisviel commented that the SpiritMaster is like the Warlock of WoW. And yes, in the class video the SM actually used Fear on like 6 crabs at once. Watch the Class video, and you'll see the SM use a ton of spells.

I think, besides being a Summoner, the SM is a Debuff master.

i would believe it is a debuff master as well, making it one of the prime reasons to have one in a party. Perhaps it can provide summon specific buffs to the party as well?

DoT spells? DoT and get range and survive (Drop damage over time spells and Run) using pet as a distraction and potential main damage dealer or w/e the situation wud call for since the pet can be changed instantly for only 10 mentality. Its a survival class so it must have crowd control and disabling mechanics to increase the classes dynamics of the class to support the pet. If pet dies i think the SM will go down very quickly and if u can't make the pet look like a threat u will b taken down instantly, so high stamina will b a must. If u can make whoever is attacking u (in pvp) think that between ur stamina and disabling, crowd control skills and w/e ur pet is doing that its more sensible to try and kill the pet u shud win. Once they turn attention to the pet NUKE um, even if its not as strong as sorc ur still wearing cloth and ur still a caster so it must do decent enough damage. So in conclusion if the attacker is on u defend urself, if its on the pet do ur best to save the pet by killing the person, also switching the pet to a more defensive one like earth or water in that situation wud b good too i bet.

you guys really should check the wiki, i personally updated the majority of the spiritmaster moves. some got pretty much lost in translation, but from what i can tell the spiritmaster will have a root and fear along with two different types of dot spells. in addition to those there are multiple direct and aoe nukes, the one thing i noticed was that we only have two or three combo-type abilities and of course many pet buffs.
midgar, i hope you're right about it being similar to a warlock in wow. that would mean the spiritmaster can be self-sufficent without the pet which is definatly a plus.

i hope it can be sufficient without the pet because in a group your pet doesn't do that much and im never really a fan of my pet/s doing all the work

basically i think you will get spells that will look something like this

Mana Cost: xxx
Requires Water Elemental
Cause your water elemental
to heal your current (friendly)
target for xxx-xxx HP.

most of the pet spells don't require a certain pet to be out, not even the taunt skill.

also the sm has a spell that will heal the pet with a 1 min cd
