Personally i hope it becomes something along the lines of a flying summon. I would prefer a Phoenix but that's probably not going to happen.
I think they might let us first use the 4 summons we start with and later on implement something that gives us a little bit less of a harder time in The Abyss and when that time comes i hope it's a nice looking and strong summon.

makes sense just to have the summons be able to fly or if you want to be even more insane have them pop wings whenever you take off to follow wings of fire for fire elemental, or just regualr wings, similiar to whichever class you choose for the earth and water. air probable shouldnt even need wings since its made of air.

but thats if they wanted to put the effort in. heck im surprised since there making flying such an integral part of the game they didn't make one of the elementals look like a flying creature such as a phoenix. in the end it would probable be easiest just to let the ele's hover and follow you no matter what.

I personally think an aerial summon would be the best options...increasing the the SM's debuff abiltiies I would think would be unfair and unbalanced....I think it would be unfair because why is it that the SM's fight dynamic should have to shift so significantly in flight combat. Granted they are different strategies to consider while airborne and possibyl different attack abilties, but i'd assume that the role of the class would stay the same.

There was erceently a change to increase the SM's nuking abiltiy overall, maybe that was takign the abyss into consideration, but i still think it would eb a disadvantage for SM's to not be able to use pets in aerial combat

what if they made it so you had a spell to make the elemental fly..... hear me out i suck at explaining things.... ok say you end up in a battle that is going to go aerial... to make your summon fly you would first have to call it on the ground... so make sure you know what you want for the air situation.. then you would cast a spell turning your said ele into a flying ele... fire=phoenix, air=mini dragon, earth=eagle, and so on... allowing it to follow you into the sky and attack with you.... this spell would end however once the elemental died or you land on the ground giving it a cool down equal to that of your wings...

Never thought about that...I think cool down timers would be necessary on pets since it would be way uncool if pets could fly endlessly attackign anything in the air while you were grounded

ya thats why i said for it to follow you in battle : / cause if you can stay on the ground and just command your pet to hunt down ppl in the air its not quiet fair...

it would be really nice to see flying pets around, some sort of phoenix would be awesome (maybe even as a stigma ability)
i read somewhere that nc will introduce more class specific stigmas, hopefully

all we cain wait is hopefully that there are some infos from the players that play the spirit master in cbt3

I actually was thinking since spiritmasters can turn an enemy into a spirit, what happens if the target was in the air?

If that will make them fall, I'd rather the spirits cannot fly. Then spiritmaster will play a little different than other classes. That should be a nice flavor.
