SM's and Stigmas

Lol I don't really know what you're going to do if you used your stigma for Cleric abilities. Unless you're soloing and decide to not use Earth to tank, Water Elemental should do the healing trick supossedly. So if you got mana/magic dmg/faster cd stuff instead, you could help your tank take out the monster before anything bad happens, and in a party, just switch between Water Elemental and w/e other pet you decide to use.

I'm more concerned about stigmas for flight, and advanced moves for my own class. I'm sure to do less than a dedicated user trying to use another professions equipment or abilities, but using an advanced one of my own from a stigma would be more promising. And the developers repeatedly described how flight improvement was not tied to levels, but likely items and skills, it would be perfectly natural for them to be improved by stigma.

Would be nice if Gladiator had a stigma for uber huge body sized weapons too. I imagine they could have some sort of tradeoff on some, but I doubt it is neccessary, because every person has the equivalent amount of slots for stigma, and having them only as tradeoff effects seems a bit tacky.

Idk. I dont like the idea of the spammable, low damage, really fast most because then all the noobz would use it...I hate when theirs ways for noobs to kill people lol. Like a p90 on CoD 4 or rocket launcher on Galo 3.

I thought they would end up enhancing more than teaching myself... personally i would go hardcore into increasing the overall damage of my spells so that dots tick for more... and the nuke spells we will have will hit hard regardless but will crit godly high...

i would like to get an SM unique stigma so that i can cast the more hardcore spells for the class and just worry about getting crit from gear and by the looks of it if you got any type of haste rating you wouldn't have time to click spells as they cooled down because there is alot to coordinate

I've read that stigmas are a random drop to get, but you'll be able to purchase them from any vender and other players, as for the cost, I'm not sure, probably very expensive, but that shouldn't be a problem, as quests, crafts, and items all give money. The stigmas will allow you to equip anything, making your character as unique as possible, giving any kind of armor, hp and mp bonus, or magic damage, etc. Hope that helps!

In CBT3 stigmas allowed players to equip any weapon or armour they wished. There were in fact some mages running around with plate armor etc. although it wasn't a very popular build because of slow casting times and lack of MP bonuses.
Some stigmas are store-bought but a lot of the higher level ones are drop-only, and can be quite rare.

Keep in mind though that they're re-thinking the whole 'wear any equipment you want' aspect of the stigma system..they had too many balancing problems with it, plus classes losing their identity etc.
So I wouldn't count on wearing heavier armour too much.
