SM's and Stigmas
I read somewhere that stigmas can allow u to teach ur class anything, is it possible to even teach the SM to where another type of armor, even if it won't b beneficial with the armors being specific in terms of mana and spell damage boosts(idk abt that one either). Im just interested about wats possible in aion and how far stigmas really allow u to go with customizing ur character?.
Also how do u find stigmas?! Are they bought for incredible amounts of gold or are they random drops at something insane like 0.1%? |

Hmmmmm.....dont know.
I have really heard very little about stigmas, especially for the spiritmaster. What little I know you already seem to know.

We dont know about the drop rate for them, but they are very useful, and they give you great advantages. But the thing is, just because you get a bonus doesn't mean you won't get debuffed. For example, if you wear plate armor, you may get slower casting time or no MP bonus. So we'll have to see what gives what, etc.

I found this at the Nihilium thing posted some time ago.
"Stigma...sweet name that will remind some of us, the materia system in FFVII, explanation : armor isn't the only way to differentiate characters, there is the Stigma system! Every character around level 20 will be able to use some special "stone" named stigma, each character got 5 slots for them, so it's not something you put on your gear like gems and their are class specific (there isn’t 5 slot at level 20 though, every 10 levels one slot is unlocked probably). The only thing we have seen is that stigma brings some "training" allowing character to use shield, plate or halberds...(there is a stigma for each types of weapon and each types of armor but they differ whereas you’re fighter or priest) Perhaps in the future we will see some classes specific skills, being available to some other classes through the stigma system ! And hm... you can purchase stigma through a NPC, price are quite high : 200 000 quina (=gold, but it's not the same scale a WoW of course...)" So it seems u buy ur stigma, but i guess rare uber ones will drop at low low low rates ![]() |

I wouldn't mind getting some stronger nukes/debuffs/pets through stigmas. Plate armor isn't really that appealing. I'd rather improve on what I am meant to do than try and be a Mage tank.

What I planed to use when I was still going to make my mage:
Get sigmas that increased spell crit chance, and have alot of cool down reduction ones. I would predict a spammable move, but it would be extremely weak, so with a higher crit chance it would proc often and always be ready to be spamable again. It would also use next to no mana. It was simply all guessing, and it probally won't end up being like that, but it was just an idea. Kinda like that one move in L2 that was spamable and did weak damage, but hell it was fast. I would also increase the damage done by spells or something like that, just to make it a bit better. Just an example of what could be used with w/e class. Thing is we'll have to see if things like this are possible. |
