Spirit Book Drops

Some of our pets come from books that are drops off of mobs. However, I haven't been able to find a clear listing on which ones they are and where they drop, so this thread is an attempt of a compilation. Since I'm level 19 when I begin this, all the information (except wind spirit I) is gathered from the forums and I'd love some help with corrections and additions.

As a general rule of thumb they seem to come from a matching elemental in roughly matching level of the spell. Do you remember where you got your drops? Please post the pet element and rank, the side (asmo or elyos), the area and the mobs (and their level) that dropped it!

- Wind Spirit I (level 13) - karnifs in Moslan Forest (level 11-14), Cyclone Spirits and Bladestorm Spirits in Impetusium (level 18-19)
- Earth Spirit I (level 16) - vendor

- Fire Spirit II (level 22) - vendor

I got Wind Spirit I from mobs on the west side of Altgard. Level 14ish hound things.

Elyos stuff:

Wind Spirit I - Starving Worgs
Water Spirit I - Whirlpool spirit

I hear Water I is a rare drop, but it took me 1 kill. Starving worgs are similar, took me about half an hour to get one, and took me a few minutes during OBT.

I have a hunch that Frost wind spirits in the Holy grounds drop Wind II, but their level is kinda lowish for the book level. No confirmation. I was able to buy Wind II from the AH for a cheap price, though it ranged a lot.

Water Spirit I drops in impetusium in Altgard (asmo) from the Water spirit looking monsters

EDIT: and so does the Wind Spirit II by the 2nd form spirits there

Elyos Wind II drop of the very numerous wind spirits in the Eracus Underground Temple. Elyos Wind I also drop of the Miraju Holy ground (in Verteron) Wind Spirits.

Wind I for Elyos doesn't seem bad. Got the book on my ranger. Then someone else who didn't even know me just gave me one they found. Drops off starving worgs.

Is Water I for Elyos really that hard to find? I'm hoping not too hard. I'm getting over in that area now.

Wind 2 for elyos also drops off the level 30/31 Tornado spirits and sandstorm spirits in Eltnen. (they look exactly like the T2 wind spirit)

Still need information on where Wind Spirit III and Water Spirit III drop on Asmodian side, and where Water Spirit III drops on Elyos side.

And I just want to double-check this since I've been grinding a fair bit in Impetusium and got four Wind Spirit I books, but none of the others -- Water Spirit I and Wind Spirit II really also drop in the same area? Three books and all from Impetusium?

Water Spirit I is from the Mist Spirits in the Impetusium for Asmo.

Wind Spirit II dropped from the wolves outside Morheim (surprisingly enough) and also in the Sky Temple off of the Wind Spirits (had it drop last night)

I got a Wind Spirit II drop off a lvl 21 Moss Spirit in Eltnen. I was surprised, since I'm level 20 and the monster dropped a book of higher level.

I wish I can call BS to this since I farmed about 9 million XP of these damn mobs [from Level 31-32] and still nothing. Then this guy runs up, farms for 40 minutes and gets the dang Wind Spirit III book. Kudos to him. (;_

i got my Wind Spirit II at level 21 off Hissing Frillnecks in Elt Fortress woods area. got lucky i guess.

Got my Water Spirit I from a Splash Spirit in Impetusium tonight, took much much longer to drop than Wind Spirit I did, but still within a couple of evenings' casual grinding. ^_^

What is with the lvl 31 waterspirits in the upper abyss?

Yep all 3 drop in the same area. Had all 3 drop in the CB
