Best Stigmas for leveling
Hey guys,
I'm a little unsure about my stigma choices for leveling ATM. I'm thinking of picking up Weaken Spirit I over Absorb Vitality just for the extra DPS. My other stigma's are Ignite Aether and Sigil of Silence. Any recommendations? |

At your level, those were the ones I used. Whenever I was in an area with lepharists (non elites), I swaped body root in so I could use earth spirit to tank those assassins without needing to heal it too much; in early 40s, I had silence instead, then absorb vitality, spirit wall of protection and weaken spirit (that's a level range you will be grouping a lot, and fire spirit's spirit wall of protection benefits the melees in it, you might even consider using Blessing of Fire during 39~45). When you get to 45 you get new stigmas and your advanced stigmas; Summon Energy of Cyclone / Armor Spirit are both great, and Cyclone of Wrath (normal stigma) will also be a powerfull dot, very nice for pve. While you are still with 4 stigma slots open, you might probably want Cyclone of Wrath over Weaken Spirit, unless you go for Armor Spirit, in which case you will have to equip W.Spirit as a pre requisite. The advanced stigma shackle of vulnerability is definitelly a great choice as well, since it will lower all elemental resistences; it's really up to you. I chose summon energy of cyclone because it takes 1 normal stigma slot as req, but I'll probably change that later when I hit the cap.

absorb is and always will be a piece of crap takes way to much cast time/mp to be worth it
for leveling i would suggest Weaken spirit (despite it being situational at best it does add a good bit of dps) wall of protection (if ya group, drop it if ya don't) silence/bind (depending if ya needing it) ignite aether (this one is discusable but so many mobs with buffs i would still call it vital) when ya get to the 40/45+ start looking at the advanced stigma's, for dps its pet line hands down (which i will go down atleast) absorb vitality as mentioned before is crap, period and a last at 37 ya can get fear shriek, its very very usefull but very limited aswell if ya group alot in hq/lepha it is worth it tho and yes i like colours ^_^ green = must have yellow = situational orange = very very limited) red = **** (in my eyes atleast) __________________ we have re-opened recruitment http://www.aionsource.com/forum/imag...ians-vids.html for shiney pvp/pve vids Last edited by Alyvian; 11-06-2009 at 10:06 AM.. |

Absorb Vitality is a great Stigma for leveling. For your dps (not dumbfire pets or pet) this will be your second highest dps spell, with weaken spirit being your other, yes I have parsed it. Topping yourself off with a nuke after healing your pet = win.

At 41 Weaken Spirit II hits a feared target for 1,500 - 1,600 then add in detonation claw that hits for 1,000 - 1,200.

I find absorb vitality very useful in groups and solo.
Solo I will use my pet heal during mob fights or after spirit absorption and then use absorb vitality to gain the lost hp basically constantly.. And in groups, sometimes that health pot just isn't enough after an aoe or whenever you are healing pet during aoe mobs, and once again absorb vitality becomes very useful once again. |

Am i missing some amazing truth about Body Root? 0.5 sec cast time for a 2~8 sec ability which isnt even a root dispite its name, but a snare. I have to admit i havnt used it vigorously since i got, so i cant say much about it, the only other place ive seen the "~" being used is in the case of templar shining slash where it denotes "random" damage between the two extremes. Thing is, shining slash says 1xx-1xx damage but really deals anywhere from 50-400 damage. Is it the same with body root? can you get anywhere from 0.1 sec to 30 sec snare or something?

So its essentially a shield that absorbs between 1-3 hits regardless of the damage, or a silence against melee attacks?
Pretty nifty i guess, but the cast time sorta irks me. Way to go tooltips ![]() __________________ Chanters - It's just better with bacon and cheese. Last edited by Gurubender; 11-07-2009 at 06:03 AM.. |
