Amazing video, thanks. Class looks fun and interesting (very much reminds me of the warlock from WOW. Underplayed, pets, fear, dots).

EDIT: Actually have a question about another ability.

Command: Corrode. Now I know it decreases enemy resists, but what i'm curious about is the "increases the enmies chance of dropping items."

I understand what it does basically; 20% (thats the number i heard) higher chance to drop loot from a mob. However, while this migh be nice while grinding, how will it work in dungeons and such. Assuming bosses drop the best loot, and they always drop loot, what good is a 20% higher chance? A higher chance of dropping 2 pieces of loot or such?

Assuming bosses always drop at least some loot, it seems this would only be beneficial on world mobs in trying to get world drops (which in most games are usally meh). Am I way off base here or is that basically its application. Thanks.

Excellent video, thank you very much!! Did you find the game play with your summons smooth and the pathing mostly accurate?

Its a bit rough and void of any editting, but yea. At the very beginning(1st Mob) I use a Taunt command spell which of course makes the spirit taunt my target. Afterwards I use the Summon: Strength of Fire spell which sends out two Orbs that deal fire damage to the enemy periodically as you can see. The orbs themselves can be targetted and killed before their duration is finished and just like like the SM's pets, you cannot cast them while flying.

As far as the pet skills if not made clear already... You as the SM are given commands abilities that work with each pet, however the effect differs with each pet. Take example the very first damage dealing command you recieve:

Command: Lightning Claws I
Water Spirit will perform an attack with Water based magic damage to the target.
Wind Spirit will apply a Wind based damage over time debuff on the target.
Fire Spirit will perform an attack with Fire based magic damage to the target.
Earth Spirit will apply an Earth based damage over time debuff on the target.

Each ability is similar to this even Command: Threatening Vigor(Pet's Taunt.)
Thanks for the heads up !
It's awesome how you jump backwards over your summon, while it moves towards the wolf at 0:51 in your vid

Command: Corrode is really just a gimmick skill in my opinion. I feel as the cooldown is a bit outrageous for a skill that lowers enemy resists, however at the same time the +20% drop rate is not really as attractive as it sounds. As you said the chance of enemies dropping certain valuable items is already pretty low so a 20% increase on what I'd assume as their base value is very underwhelming. The ability seems easily resisted and doesn't have a very long duration. As far as the mechanics as to how it fully works I don't really know I myself have questions as far as whether or not the debuff needs to be on the mob when it dies or if the mob only has to be afflicted by it once during combat in order for the 20% drop increase to be applied. Overall, I'd prefer a shorter cooldown on the ability and the 20% drop increase portion of it removed since its quite a valuable ability turned into something very gimmicky by adding on the drop increase.

And no, Command: Corrode is really not all that great of a skill for grinding, the cooldown is too long to impact much of anything aside from mobs/bosses that already have a reletively decent drop rate on certain items.

The only pathing issues I've run into is when I take flight, however the pet is doomed to dissappear anyhow so it is very very minor. As far as on ground I've not run into a single noticable issue as the pets all follow over the different terrain just as easily as it is for you to cross. As far as the fighting with the pet, I've found it to be very fluid even when I'm forced to deal with korean latency, although in PvP if your target runs out of the pets range, ie flies away your pet will vanish if you don't have it return to you.

The movie is really nice, great job

I have one question about the SM and the skills:

I'm not quite sure if i should roll a sorc or a sm, personally I love more the gameplay of a SM but I fear that its damage will be outmatched by too many classes (sorc, no question; but also ranger and glad / assa) and gets more a supporter than a good dps class.

So how would you compare their damage skills (including DoTs) to other classes?

Ya i'm pretty curious about that too. I just hope that a SM with a wind/water pet out can put out comprable dmg to other classes (maybe not as much but not far behind) in pve and in pvp (where they are cc/debuffers) can do enough to be relevant 1v1 and in group combat.

same thing, although would it be too much trouble to make another video or something? just to kinda show some different sides of what its like being a SM.
