Can anyone recommend this PC? I hear it can be built for much cheaper than what it cost minus the 1-year warranty. I'm in the market for a new machine anyways.

Newegg.com - iBUYPOWER Gamer Supreme 944 Core 2 Quad Q9550(2.83GHz) 8GB DDR2 1TB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit - Desktop PCs

Seems a bit overkill but it's your money.

There's some strange choices they probably made to lower the cost:
- SLI motherboard for 1 GFX card;
- using slower DDR2 memory instead of DDR3 memory in such a powermachine;
- probably some whitelabel dvd-writer;
- unknown brand of single hard disk;
- using 2GB RAM modules instead of 4GB modules (leaving room for more).

Also, considering the fans, this machine will be noisy to say the least and I hope your computer room isn't to dusty. Keep some extra change for your electricity bill too .

It's DDR2 so it's compatible. 800MHz, pretty much standard - your PC will run it at 667MHz because it's the maximum supported speed though.

Great advice so far but I disagree with the above statement. Yes the Ram should clock down but that can make things unstable - it shouldn't but it can do. I brought 800mhz for my rig even though it can only run at 667mhz and i've had 6 months worth of crashing and memory issues. I placed in an extra 2g of 667 in it as a last ditch effort before it went off for a diagnostic and it runs like a dream - theres nothing wrong with either stick they've both been tested and have been popped in every single port combo too just in case. The machine runs fine with just one stick of 800 ram in its when you put the second one in that i have trouble (it will run fine with either one of the two sticks in there so, again nothing wrong with the ram..) and I've flashed the bios and done all sorts... but it was putting in slower running ram that solved the issue.. now i have 4g of 800 and 2g of 667.. :P

So really imo you're better off getting the right speed ram i.e. 667, its also cheaper.

Since I didn't stay on I couldn't post anything... I might pawn my computer, playstation 2 and games. I just don't know if I will have enough, Because I love my Acer, but I found a better one on best-buy
Link: Acer - Desktop with AMD Athlon™ X2 Dual-Core Processor - AX1300-U1801A
It looks cheap efficent, better graphics card and ram also GHz are better just wondering if I pawned everything off, Would I get enough... To me it looks like no. But its worth a shot... I have a ACER Aspire T-180 btw.

Thanks for the input! It's definitely something to consider.

I don't even know if I can run this game at all on my current computer now that I find out it's double of what was the original "requirements". >_>
Could somebody tell me a program i could use/buy to install windows on my mac so i could run the game
its either that or buying an alien ware comp which i wouldn't mind but they are a tad expensive, thank you.

Oh, haven't heard of that before. To be honest I have no personal experience in this matter, I just thought that since it should work in theory and the price difference at newegg was so small, hey might as well go 800. I'll bear what you just said in mind from now on though, might save a few people some trouble.

So what do you think of this kit instead then? ^^ Patriot 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 667
Seems alright, eh? Cheapest 2x1 667 kit w/ heatspreaders I could find there. (I personally don't like sticks without)
CAS 4, standard voltage and positive reviews.

I'm kinda new and i was wondering if it was possible to run aion on a macbook, and if so what specs would i need for it. Would it be any different from the windows requirements?

(I know there is no mac retail version)

Does anyone here use an 8600 NVIDIA GeForce GT? I am wondering I should go ahead an upgrade to a better graphics card.

I don't get the space requirement thing.
The game takes less then 8 gig of hard drive space installed.

Is the full version of the game different then the beta version that we downloaded?

My computer...

3mhx Dual Core P4
2 gig ram
nVidia 7800 GTX video card.
Sound Blaster Audigy
Windows XP service pack 3

It runs flawlessly in Windows XP I could not get it to run in Windows 7RC.

Ok well it seems I can run this game with my cpu and 1 gb ram is min. ill use 1 gb in Beta...

As of now I want to know if this graphics card will run it. (I'm not looking for MAXED OUT OMG Settings either just low-medium.)

Also the box says 300W but I found out it runs on a 250W so I'm in luck.

I heard this card runs CoD5W@W fine so I want to know if it will run aion since it is only 42-43$ LOL.

VisionTek - ATI RADEON HD 4350 512MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card - 900270

I know the card sucks as I said I want to know if it will at least run the game until I get my cash for another 2x512mb and Later on like in November-ish try for a PC.
