running aion is a lil easier than most ppl are making it seem.. i only play on a dell xps 720 with a core duo 3.6mhz (oc'd) processor, 3gb ram, 300gb hd (only 175gb free), dual 512mb 9800gt series graphix and i run the game graphics wide open and i can do an avg. 60fps in a populated area and over 100 in other areas..

Wow, what's the stock speed of that CPU? 2MHz?

Nah, but really, you're right about that. Some people think you need some sort of monster to max out Aion.

As with all video games the read / write times of your HD effect alot of your load times. Their Min requirements are for general game play. If any of you are getting craptastic load times I'd recomend getting a 32gb solid state hard drive to run this on.
I only add this because I was getting OMGStickaneedle in my eye load times in WAR. The Solid state, improved my load times by 300%

I think lack of processor speed can be temporary covered. in your situation, expecting some bottle next in data transformation when you do this but this may help your system last few more months + also enjoy somewhat okie game play in Aion till ur ready to upgrade.

I suggest you replace 4 of your ram for 1g each. Ther r like 10-20$ (per pair). Ram upgrading = cheap and its uber for a low performance system since you dont have to have ur data load on your actual hard drive.

Upgrade to 400w+ power supply. (dont pay for anything higher than $45)
and get the HD3870 instead if u have pci-e. It is a little bit more expensive than the HD4350 but it would be so much better in performance.

When you play Aion, except SYSTEM/LOCAL SERVICE/NETWORK SERVICE, turn everything off on Task-management.
And put your window on optimal performance state.

Depends on the brand and series. It's kinda like asking "Hey, can I walk nine meters in five steps?" without mentioning anything about how long your legs are etc.

Well thank you for thi post, but as you said about psu I will probably get 350-400w tops... I don't know if my best buy sells the HD3870, because I dont order online.

Unless walmart or circuit city sells it.

If you want to find out what you have it's easy. Just right-click on the "My Computer" shortcut in the start menu and go to "Properties". It should give you the name and some other basic info right there.

what i am not understanding is the recommended specs are WAY low for how good the game looks, so are these really accurate? or can u scale the graphics way up?

My computer is in my sig. I'm probably going to get a new GPU(the 295GTX) when Aion comes out & another 4gb of the same RAM for a total of 8gb. Why not, it's only $109.95 right now!!!!! That way, along with my internet connection, my Aion experience will be perfect! There should be VERY little slowdown. I might even opt to get a new SSD, I just gotta see how the WD Veloci-raptors compare.

My worry is, even with all that computer, that I won't be able to play Aion using Windows 7 RC....

Edit: Not going for the GTX295 anymore, I'm going to get a BFG GTX275 OC now for a good price then buy another one before Aion comes out(or before they discontinue it!) & go SLi.

hi everyone!!
im hoping to play aion in maxed out settings @ 1680x1050, anyone think i can do it with these specs:

vista 32 bit
intel quad core @ 2.4ghz
3gb ram @ 800mhz
ati radeon x2600xt
320GB @ 7200 rpm

i know the amazon version and korean version says the recommended vid card was exactly the x2600xt also but just want to know the opinions of those who have played it already, thanks!

To all my WIN7 RC1 64bit users:

Archon is right. You'll need his GameGuard.des file to allow the game to launch properly.
