do you think i'll have any issues running this game on highest settings?
No, I think your monitor is too small. System requirements state that you need at least 30" to play the game.
OK, fine. Seriously, it should max it without any problems.

haha good one
the only reason i ask is because in major cities in WoW i get around 15-20 fps due to the population but WoW is cpu bound so that could be the reason

I would say that saving your money for a new graphics card instead would make more good. Unless you are having real issues with the current RAM of course.

Well, your GPU should really have no problems handling Aion. I don't think your CPU will cause any trouble either, but even if it did, I doubt your graphics settings would have much to do with it. Have you thought of overclocking that thing?

Hi guys im not very computer literate so if you could tell me if my pc will run Aion at a nice lvl please that would be great

Operating System = Vista Home premium
Processor = AMD Phenom 9500 Quad core (4CPUs) 2.2GHz
Memory 3070MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT with 600 watt power supply

Please let me know since if i need upgrade i will go buy what ever is needed

Ps If Aion utilizes dual core , then will it use atleast 2 of my cores out of the 4, or will it use 4 cpu's

Very few games at the moment utilize dual core and Aion's not one of them :P You're PC spec is very good but if you're running Vista 64 i suggest getting another 1G of ram as really you need 4g to keep it happy and you only have 3g atm, its not that really big an issue though and Aion will run fine with out it. You should be able to run it on full graphics settings.

One note in the future sometime you may want to consider getting a higher power supply (this might be tricky if yours is built into your case so perhaps seek expert advice if your not too good with pcs) as i was always told the newer graphics cards (say 8800 upwards) need 700watt + to run optimumly without everything getting quite warm... this is just opinion though and by no means necessary for running Aion!

My specs leave me at equal to/greater than all the recommend requirements. Though I'm thinking of picking up more RAM, a sound card, and perhaps a new power source before the actual launch.

HD 4870 and GTX 260 both have excellent performance/price as long as you have the power to fuel them. 600W should be enough as long it's not some random low-quality thing you've got.

I've built a system for a friend so she can play Aion with me - currently its running on an Athlon 64 3700+ (overclocked from 2.2 to 2.4ghz), 2GB Ram and a Radeon HD4770 512mb GPU. I was quite shocked when I ran the 'detect settings' in the main menu and it set everything to medium/high (was expecting low everything) as when the main menu loads it takes ages for the background to appear and I get lagging issues with the sound while it loads up.

Anyway my question is this - would it make much difference if I swapped out the CPU to an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ or better? The current mobo is an Asus A8N-E and I've been tempted to pick up a new CPU cheapish off ebay. From what I can gather that mobo will take anything from 3800+ to 4800+ in the X2 range. Thoughts?

As long as they are skt939. And there actually exists a couple of 3600+ X2, not very many of them though.

8GB Corsair DDR2 at 1800MHz (4x2GB)
750GB Seagate Barracuda - SATA, 600+GB free space atm

First Beta was running 70+ fps even in major cities during peak play time. Never lagged once :P

Sounds like a jet engine with the 4 fans on the video cards running at 80-90% and another 11 fans helping to keep the inside a steady 38C even after playing for 10+ hrs without a break, but it also runs like an F18 doing Mache 2+.

Pretty sure I'm ready to go live at any time

no way your running ddr2 ram at 1800 mhz - even ddr3 at 1800 is a bit of a stretch...

anyway, im running:
4 gb corsair ddr2 800 ram at 850 mhz
2.33 ghz Intel core 2 duo (forget exact one its been a while hehe) OC'd at 3.4 ghz w/ a beast tuniq fan (yes over 1 ghz overclock >.>)
ATI radeon HD 4870 X2 2gb- running 800 mhz OC core and 1024 mhz ram (750 and 800 stock respectively)
24" samsung monitor,
corsair 750Tx

currently i want to upgrade my mobo and core (over to AMD products... im not big on intel anymore :P)
but what i have is perfect for anything other than 8x AA crysis :P

anyway... It runs perfectly!

you could easily squeeze another 300-400 mhz out of that proccessor with a cooling upgrade, those athlon 64 x2's run relatively cool under load.

also - what OS are you running on? if your on vista - you need more ram, at least 3 gigs, especially considering aion tends to be rather memory-hogging

the GPU will have no problem w/ aion - you wont be running max AA settings or anything but it will run the game perfect and still be mid-high range w/ that card.
if you can snag a 4800+ for cheap i'd grab that - a 3800 wouldnt be noticable enough of an improvement to be worth your while after OC'ing.

keep in mind that the gpu is what will mainly dictate how the game runs - and your gpu is fine, you just need a tad more ram and maybe some Core tweaks w/ that overclock

if your running a 32-bit, such as say.. XP (i hope you are!)

go for a dual core - no need for quad core in gaming tbh (slight difference... twice the price...)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103678
would be a great bet cost to performance wise - you could OC it easily to over 3.0 and its only $70!
