I was just gonna post that. Also, Win 7 makes a Win.Old folder which puts a lot of the files that were installed on the previous version of Windows (if you overwriting it that is, obviously this wouldn't happen with a clean install or if installed on its own parition) into that folder. In terms of issues with drivers, I have run into 0 issues with devices not functioning properly. However, I had a Sandisk Sansa and it uses Rhapsody, which at one point was not 64-bit compatible, however, it has since been changed.

Will this be enough? Laptop also but I wonder how smooth can game go on this, if anybody have exp...

Fortunately for you, you have a C2D and not just standard Dual Core (or Core 2 Solo). Even though the X2 4200+ is clocked higher, C2D generally runs circles around similarly clocked AMD's (higher L2 cache amongst other things). The 9300GS is a question mark for me, as I've had no experience with it, though my buddy has a 9600 1 GB and it runs a lot of the latest releases @ 1280x720, though he has a quad-core in his rig clocked @ 2.6Ghz (then again 1GB of video ram is kind of overkill at that resolution). I'd honestly start out at 1280x720 (or w/e the 1280 res. is for 16:10 & 4:3 screens) with everything on medium, and slowly bump everything up until you hit the cap. Not sure how well AA and AF will do on your vid card. so I'd turn those off for now.

-------------------------

So I can't make new posts yet but I have something that concerns me.

I just recently made the switch to Crossfire, and all the games I've tested have seen numerous ATI updates to enhance FPS on Crossfire (in particular, 9.8 makes Crysis run like butter with 4xAA @ 1680x1050, with everything on high...except motion blur cause the game pauses for a split second when I do a 180). My first new game I tried was Champions online (dled client, tried it on friends account), and immediately I could tell it was not Crossfire optimized. The recommended setting has everything in the low-medium range @ 1680x1050, no AA, nothing. So the game ran fine, and I bumped it up to where I thought it should be. And the game was in the 30FPS range, and dropped below 20FPS. Not only that, but there is an issue with the character creation process where a CPU cycle messes up and causes the processor to go into overdrive. My CPU fan was going mach 5 fast, never heard it run so loud before. Actually overheated at one point. I was thinking something was wrong with my system till I read the forums. They have stuff going through the test server now for fixes for both of these issues. Until then, there's no way in hell I'm gonna bother trying the game again (which is unfortunate cause I had a good replica of Sabin Figaro..cept the hair, they don't have the spiky top/shaved sides/pony tail style).

So my question to gamers who have either Crossfire or SLI, do games ever come out of the gate with SLI/Crossfire support working fine out of the gate? If not, am I waiting for the game makers to fix the issue or am I looking at ATI to come out with new drivers? And to the developers if they know, is Crossfire going to be working out of the gate?

I have the same graphics card and ram as you and run the game fine on full settings (with shadows off) but I also have a AMD X2 4200 so if anything is going to impair your game it will be your processor I think minimum settings it should be playable maybe even medium .

and to answer your other question afaik there is only one client which supports both 32 and 64bit OS.
Thanks for the reply. Checked that site and my system looks good to go...
I was fairly sure the client would do for 64bit, just wanted to make sure... don't want to have to download all 9GB again.

I recommend trying the site that Shoushin linked Can you run it?. Might be able to tell you something.

Ah, I just got a new PC a while ago and it does indeed surpass everything on this list. Lucky, my old PC would have had no chance at running it.

Playing on a laptop

My question is, I'm playing on a laptop since I will be spending a lot of time on the road for my work. CPU speed and hard drive space are fine, however video card is generic VGA. Does anyone know how difficult it is to install a video card into a laptop since they are usually integrated?

As far as I know, unless you can get a card from the laptop manufacturer your're out of luck. I think the cards are difficult to get of the shelf. If you could get one I'd imagine it would be fun trying to install it.
Maybe you could look into external vga cards to see if they're an alternative.

I got that message when I tried the link in the OP, but not with this link Can you run it?. Maybe this will work better.

What resolution you running at?

From others who have played OB, 2GB of RAM seems fine , a mid 2.xGhz dual-core processor, and 9600 does the trick for a lot of people on high and with AA. Yours sounds good to go (for 60+FPS).

One more thing I plan on ordering this comp tuesday so I just wanna make sure aion will run mid-high on this

Newegg.com - ASUS K70 Series K70IO-A1 NoteBook Intel Pentium dual-core T4200(2.00GHz) 17.3" 4GB Memory 250GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M - Laptops / Notebooks

I asked the 32 bit question because it doesn't say if it is or isn't. asus.com doesnt directly say its 32 or 64 bit either.
