For the Lowest Settings, I think you can go lower, since I currently play on lower settings than that.

Will this work in siege mode also, or would you have to lower your settings?

I'm about to buy a new desktop just to play this game. The desktop I about to buy is this one: HP - Pavilion Elite Desktop with AMD Phenom? II X4 910 Quad-Core Processor - e9120y
Any advice on how to make this desktop better? Will I be able to run the game on high-settings with the specs as it is? Thanks in advance~ <(_ _)> |

Avoid "Pavilion"
![]() I tested Aion on CB2-3 with everything on max, with AAx2, it was nice and smooth even in crowded zones. Better video card is needed for more AA. I also tested on archaic P4 with everything on low with around 10fps in non-intense zone, and it was lookin exacly like WoW (I have screenshots lol) No point to play it like that...Btw at CB2 with my machine I was playing with around 40-60fps all the time, but at CB3, I don't know what they changed, but my fps dramatically decreased to 20... No idea what happened... I hope that at CB4 it will be back to 40-60 ![]() My spec is Phenom II x4 955, 4gb ddr3 1333, hd4850, 1680x1050. Without overclocks it was perfect game experience during CB2 The game is using mainly 2 cores, around 1.1gb ram, and it doesn't load a lot my video card. I am using Windows 7 rc1.__________________ Before you see the light, you must die! Last edited by July; 07-10-2009 at 07:59 PM.. |

i'm really newb about this kind of thing, so any help is appreciated. in beta i get like 60 fps out in fields and similar areas, but flying, and in town like ALtgard or Pandaemonium its choppy. i really dont know what id need to upgrade to make the game run really smooth in those places, and places like those later in the game. heres what i am using:
vista home premium 32 bit amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 5000+ 2.60 GHz 3 GB ram nvidia geforce 8600 video card i like playing with maxed out graphics settings (except shadows, those dont bother me for some reason, so are turned off), and since im pretty retarded about majority of all computer stuff, figured i'd ask here. so i guess my main question is, will buying a better video card help a good amount in making the game run smoother? or would i need to invest in a new computer with better processor/ram/video card to make the game run with decent fps in most places? |

I have no idea how much FPS you will achieve, but it's a media card and very very far from a gaming card. |

Spec question... help me out
My specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 4300 1.8GHz
3 gigs ram Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT 256mb ddr3 This setup runs the game fine on 1440x900 in outside PVE environments, however I experience low fps for the first couple of minutes upon entering major outposts like Altgard and major cities. After those couple of minutes my frame rate stabilizes at around 20-30 per second. I'm curious how this setup will run in some of the more densely populated fights later on in the Abyss, I don't want to have to wait 1 or 2 minutes before being able to enter the brawl. Having never been to the Abyss I don't know how my setup will do, I can only speculate that the lack of dense scenery out there would compensate for the vast amount of players present. But like I said that is speculation, I would like some outside opinions. If this setup will not be able to handle Abyss pvp, will upgrading my graphics card be enough. I am concerned that any fps issues I may related to my processor and not my graphics card... Last edited by Nekrosiz; 07-26-2009 at 09:33 PM.. Reason: Incomplete |

I'm new to this, so be gentle please. I have a 3 year old Dell XPS 400 and I plan on building a new computer (hopefully in time for Aion release), but in the meantime this is what I have. [*]Pentium D 820 2.8GHz(2 CPUs)[*]3070 MB RAM (DDR2)[*]nvidia GeForce 6800
I am wondering if someone could point me toward a video card that would work with this computer( Im not sure what is compatible). When I build the new gaming computer I want to use this one for everyday tasks, but until then I hope this (with a new card) will be enough to try out a beta. Thanks to all. |

The good news is the computer has a PCIe slot, so it can fit modern cards. However, the power supply unit is only 375w and newer cards need anywhere from 450w to 700 depending on how beefy it is. Even though your max results would be limited because of your lowend CPU, I'd recommend getting something like a 650w power supply and whatever flavor video card you like. Depending on how much you wanted to spend, there's the $200 ATI 4890/Nvidia GTX 275, $150 ATI 4870/Nvidia GTX 260, $100 ATI 4850/Nvidia 9800gtx. You won't be able to take full advantage of these cards with your CPU. However I'd suggest you reuse them into your new gaming build, down the line.

On the beta atm, with low graphics, im talking low, wow graphics basically /cry, run nice a smooth, but cant help but feel im missing out on the real game, i heard its beautiful and want to experiance it. This is my laptops spec : Intel? Centrino? Duo Technology featuring Intel? Core™2 Duo Processor T5500 - Genuine Windows? Vista? Home Premium Edition - 120 GB Hard Disk Drive - 2,048 (1,024+1,024) MB DDR2 RAM (533 MHz) - 17" Toshiba TruBrite? WXGA+ TFT display - DVD Super Multi (Double Layer) drive - Nivida Gforce Go 7600 Wondering if its worth buying a whole new laptop, or just updating a few things such as the graphics card? Any responses be greatly appreciated ![]() |
