It's really hard/not worth it to upgrade the graphics card, especially if it's integrated.

Not really with that very weak video card. At this point I would just buy a new system.

Cant I just buy a new videocard then :O ??

instead of a new system

also I've read that the minimum requirements for ATI Radeon card was 9600 card. I dont know if this is true however :O

This is the source where I got the information from: http://www.aionglobal.com/system-requirements.html

PCI Express x16 is fairly universal in systems made in the last 3 or 4 years. You'll have to see if your board has PCI Express x16 or AGP

AGP is outdated, you can still get some cards for it, but chances are if your system is currently using AGP that it's going to be slower than the minimum req for Aion.

My Nvidia Geforce 285GTX made WoW crash, mainly because WoW is a relatively older game. Really looking forward to let Aion max out all settings and then play it smooooth all the way

It'll run the game alright, I say medium on average, maybe high on a few settings. Resolution is going to be the big factor.

Hmm, WoW crashing can be many things believe it or not - oddly mostly from the Add-Ons if people go too nuts on them (uncleared Recount cache, etc). Driver check your stuff before giving Aion a shot - the crashes could be something else =P

I know, but the 200-series just cause problems running WoW. Blizzards is blaming Nvidia and Nvidia is blaming Blizzard. There isnt a solution atm. The very poor support of Blizzard for these technical problems is why I left, I've spend more then 2 weeks trying to figure out what the problem was/is. Literally tried everything, without sucess.

I'm kind of a noob too when it comes to hardware so here's my question:

I'm buying a new PC system with a 24'' monitor and I want to be able to run Aion on highest settings even in big battles and maybe even use fraps to record.(not especially sieges, more world pvp)
What would roughly be needed to be able to do that? Do I need a GTX 295 and an i7 or would that be overkill and cheaper hardware would do the job too?

I hope you can help me an I thank you for your efforts!
