In my opinion your PC should meet these specs to play at these settings; Low Settings- Processor: 3.0GHz or equivalent Single core (P4 / AMD Athlon/64) RAM: 1GB for XP, 2GB for Vista Video Card: nVidia 6600GT / ATi x800 Medium settings- Processor: 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo / 2.4GHz AMD Athlon X2 RAM: 2GB for XP, 3GB for Vista Video: nVidia 7800GT / ATi 3650 High Settings- Processor: 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo / 2.4GHz AMD Phenom II RAM: 4GB Video: nVidia 8800GT / ATi 4830 That's just my recommendations based on the performances I've seen on various setups. __________________

I'm not sure myself Kaiyoko, I've heard it works fine with Win7 now but you have to screw around with the gameguard files or something. I'll have a look around.

Hence I said equivalent
I'm too lazy to actually list which of the AMDs were equivalent.. I think the Athlon XP 3200+ was about equivalent, and I'm not sure which model 64 was equivalent.. AMD just had so many back then ;D Quote:

Ok, I'm a newbie at pc systems, so I guess that my question will be stupid.
I have AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ 2.19 GHz 4-6gb Ram (thinking of changing 4 to 6gb) Point-of-View GeForce 8800GTX, 768MB DDR3, 384bit (btw, I'm using Vista OS) Will I be able to play on medium settings? Or I really need to change my prcessor. __________________ ![]() |

To respond towards the if Aion works with Windows 7
For 32 bit: Whatever you do it wont work, even if you screw with gameguard it will end up giving you blue screen of death ![]() For 64 bit: You must change gameguard.des to the chinese one, then you run it and it will work! |

I have a question about the video card.
I brought a brand new computer this past March, but the video card it has is integrated and is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, I meet the requirements on everything else for the game but the video card. I have done a "can you run it?" on WOW the latest game and I have pass everything on the requirement basis. So my question is, would I be able to play Aion smoothly? Im scared that is going to be chappy and laggy. I pre-order the game so Ill be accessing the beta opening on July 2nd, but again beta and the real thing might not be the same.... Any input on this, it would be really sad that after I been waiting for this game since last year I wont be able to play it :/ |

Help??
Hey guys, I am buying a laptop that I am going to mostly use for college but that I also want to be able to use to play Aion. I am going to Georgia Tech and they have specific requirements that I need to meet for the laptop which are: Form Factor: Laptop.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or better (or equivalent processor). Memory: 2 GB or more (Exception: students planning to run virtualization software on Mac OS X should get 3 GB or more). Hard Drive: 120GB or larger. External Hard Drive: 120 GB or larger, USB compatible. Video Memory: 128 MB or greater. Networking: 802.11 a/g/n wireless network card, and wired Ethernet port. Accessories: DVD writer, USB flash drive, Ethernet cable, and anti-theft cable lock. Microsoft Windows XP Professional; or Windows Vista Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate. I found this laptop on bestbuy.com that is only about 600 dollars, but I am not sure whether or not it will be able to play Aion well. Instead of putting down its specs I will just put down the link to it: Asus - Stylish Laptop with Intel? Centrino? Processor Technology - Blue/Black - X83Vb-X2 Will that computer be able to run Aion really well? If not I would love to hear some suggestions of laptops I should look at. Keep in mind I would really like to keep it under 1000 dollars and preferably closer in price to the laptop I found. Thanks in advance! I am really sucky with all of this technology stuff and I don't have a clue about graphics cards and all that. |
