And I recall how horrid XP was supposedly when it first came out. MS has developed such a rep they could make the perfect OS that comes on a solid gold disk and people would still complain.
But yeah Vista had alot of issues though most had to do with vista ready comps and third party drivers around launch. They're not there now and I've been running Vista Ultimate 64 for a year now and haven't experienced anything like the horror stories you read about or someone's friend had. To be honest I had more issues with XP then I did with Vista. |

I use Vista on both my laptop and my desktop. No problems. Some games don't work on it, but the games are either old or the people who make them are too lazy to update them.

From personal experience, I've used Vista for half a year now and I haven't crashed once.
If Vista works bad on your comp it could very likely be one of 2 things; 1, your comp doesn't have the requirements "needed", 2, it's new to you and you have no idea how to use it. __________________ People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. ![]() Sorry to disappoint you but you are one of those vaque people. I work in an IT department and have friends who work in 'repair shops' and have seen these issues. I'm happy for you that your customers have horrid luck or aren't willing to learn the little bit of self maintenance to keep their machines running. If it wasn't for idiots 75% of us would not have jobs. Vista has been stable for me; The only BSOD I have had where due to hardware driver issues. Quote:

Yes the aforementioned vista ready labels.
Those brand new machines were not capable of running it. I'm glad you can admit it. |

I am running vista 64bit Ultimate for the last 6 months and no problems, in fact i had better computability with my sound drivers they wore not working with xp and then bam vista is on and what you know it fine.
I will never go back too XP i will miss the integrated features too much, plus who wants a 7 year old os that like using a mac for games jese lame. __________________ CPU:AMD X2 6000+ GPU:9600GT RAM:4GIG 800
