Graphics reset really becoming a problem!

Hello, my graphics are resetting practically every day and on every crash, it has gotten to the point where it is just plain frustrating.

I delete the Aion > Client > system info tree in my registry as well as the system.cfg file everytime, and I have set the new system.cfg to read only and my graphics are still resetting practically every time I restart my comp.

Is there any solution?

I dont think there's a way to protect against it on crashes. If you were to log out, it'd probably be fine, but a crash = things aren't saved

I've played around with this client all day and finally found a solution to my problem of the Graphics settings always reseting. Please read below:

(Warning the following steps require modifications to the Windows OS Registry, this could be dangerous if you do not know what your doing. Proceed with caution!)

Make sure you are not running the game when you do this.

You need to open up registry editor. You can do this by doing a Start -> Run then typing in RegEdit and clicking Ok.

This will open up the windows Registry Editor. You will notice folders this is a hierarchy used to organize registries in the OS. Navigate through these by clicking the arrow sign next to the folder names.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Aion
Client

If your computer savvy this is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aion\Client

DELETE the SystemInfo folder.

After that just start up the game and change your graphics settings to what you desire. Then restart the game client! Wallah it should still have your previously set settings!

I hope this works for others, if it does please post your results so we can determine if this is a viable and working solution for everyone.

This is from another persons post. I will not take credit for it.

Wasn't sure if you were doing the same thing haha. Sorry.

Give this a try, its not what you need done but i think it will change some settings and stop the problem.

If it appears that the game is loading in a resolution your video card or monitor drivers do not support, please try the following:
1. Right-click Here
2. Save this file to the root of your game installation folder. Should be C:\Program Files\NCsoft\Aion or C:\Program Files\NCsoft\Aion
3. You may get a warning to replace the file that already exists. Choose yes, to replace the existing file.

This will make the game load at the 800x600 resolution. Once in-game you can change the resolution to anything you wish.

I've already tried deleting the system.cfg file and restarting (game uses the default one).

Anyone have some insight? They are resetting at least once a day now, each time involves 3 client loads and deleting the system.cfg and that registry key...very annoying.

If you find a solution to this, I'd like to know as well. I don't have the same problem as you, but when I restart my game all of my chatboxes are resized back to the default setting and will not stick.
