It's probably overheating or one of your hardware isn't working well with your CPU or even memory leaks.

I don't know much about computers, but I usually get BSOD mostly because of overheating or using too much RAM from bad programs.

One of the reasons for blue screens is overheating. However, from my experiences, I used to get a ton of blue screens, sometimes even as soon as I finish booting up and I ended up just reformatting my hard drive twice and that seemed to have fixed it. Why twice? The first time still had blue screens so I decided to give it another shot and now I've only gotten maybe one or two over the past two years which is pretty average I think.

I wouldn't be surprised if they can't fix it though or if they resort to reformatting, just be prepared.

It's no guarantee that they'll reformat, it's just a possibility. Usually it's a pretty drastic measure and I doubt they'll do it without your permission.

Check the event viewer from time to time - clear it. When you blue screen hints can be found in the viewer. But ya overheating - biggest cause - failing hard disk second, intermittent connections (card, ram) can also be fun to find. Doesn't hurt to peek under the hood once a year and note the amount of dust - and clean if needed. If you have pets, smoke - then once a week will help.
