Tracert Results Collection to Help Diagnose Lag Spike, DC, Rubberbanding Issues

A lot of people seem to be having issues with lag spikes, rubberbanding or for some people random DCs. Needless to say, Aion is a difficult game to play even with a few seconds delays.

It seems like most of us with the issues are on Road Runner/Time Warner Cable and tracert to PlayNC servers is timing out at a specific node.

Now this wouldn't be the first time, something like this has happened with a game. Blizzard had to work with providers over the years including TWC and AT&T to resolve lag and connectivity issues.

The idea here is for everyone to post their Tracert logs. The tracert will be run to 206.127.155.3

To run a Tracert, open up Command Prompt (On XP - > Click Start -> Run -> Type cmd, on Windows Vista/7 follow same steps as XP or for new Start menu, open it up and type cmd in search box).

Once Command Prompt is open type:

Also as another bit of background I have been playing since headstart, but have only had these issues for about a week now. At times the lag is annoying but tolerable while other times I can't even get past character selection without being disconnected.

the reason it seems like it's timing out at a specific node is because it is. but all you're going to see with a trace is up to when they drop UDP traceroute at the firewall.
beyond that point, within NCsoft's internal network, is where the problem lies. we will never be able to help show them where the problem lies with posts like this. it will take working with someone who is actively monitoring incoming connections to see where we're being caught up and why.

posts showing how many people are affected may be useful to get them moving quicker to a resolution, but posting ping or traceroute info will not help. it seems from prior posts that all of TW/RR, no matter where you live, is affected. so even location specific information on RR routers along the way will likely be of no use.

FYI - i'm in Austin and i used to have AT&T DSL. i switched to TW/RR a week ago. the problem with Aion servers was the same with AT&T too. i have a support ticket open with NCsoft. **i recommend that everyone with this problem does the same.**

AT&T here, so it is not just one provider. Started getting nasty bad lag and latency yesterday. Honestly, it's unplayable in this condition. I see multiple posts timing out after tge7-2.fr3.iad.llnw.net .... What is that about?

Annecdote: latency seems to consistently drop to under 200 in the game client (/ping) WHEN the traceroute is running. WTH is that about?
