I'm not too big of a computer guy, but these are my current specs:
Dell Dimension DXP061 Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.68GHz 1.68GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM I plan on adding an additional 2 gigs of RAM and buying this video card: XFX GeForce 9500 GT Video Card - 1GB DDR2, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Support, (Dual Link) DVI, VGA Support PVT95GZAFG at TigerDirect.com Will i be able to run Aion well on high graphical settings? I know my Processor isn't up to par with the recommended, will this be an issue? |

I wouldn't think the processor (i take it its not dual core?) would be too much of an issue as long as you're willing to close all other programmes before playing - its the graphics card that needs to be buff really for this game! |

Yup, you won't have any trouble with that, although since your processor is so low don't expect to be running at max graphics, although I think you'll be able to run them fairly high - high enough to really enjoy the game at any rate!

That might not be true as Aion does run CryTek engine but there is just so much more effects for GPU to calculate then in FarCry1.You also have to consider that the engine is improved version. So i wouldnt say once you can run FarCry 1 full detail you will be able run Aion the same.

Laptops
I recently purchased an ASUS G50vt laptop, specs are below. I was able to run at full settings across the board. In unpopulated areas, I was getting upwards of 90 fps, with an average of 30 fps in very populated areas. To me, this was very acceptable. But the reason I wasnted to post was to give a little hope for people who do not have gaming laptops or PC's.
My girlfriend has a Dell Inspiron notebook that she got for school. As soon as I showed her videos and concept art for AION, she was hooked. So we both preordered and got into the beta test. My ASUS was smooth as melting butter, but we were worried if she'd even be able to run it. Well, after about 3 hours of client downloading, and a lot of crossed fingers, she was able to get in! She had a pretty low frame rate, and we had to lock it in (no editable settings) for her to run it in any playable way, BUT, she was able to play. At the expense of a lot of the glory and glamour that makes up the owrld, she and I were able to play together and love every minute of it. I don't want to give false hope, as it did not look fantastic, and the frame rate was a bit choppy. But for those of you that HAVE to play and have limited funds, this WILL run on older/not gaming machines. Sacrifices will have to be made, but it is possible. Hope you all give it a try, and we'll both see you in the next beta! PS: I'll try to post her specs soon __________________ If Sissufus had wings, would he have flown away or stayed? MAC Supported?
Can anyone confirm this for me, I have tried to search the threads but have found no one asking the same question. Sorry if I have missed the answer already
![]() I'm looking into getting a mac come Jan or Feb of 2010 for myself and my husband but if we can't get Aion support on a mac, there is no need to upgrade to one ![]() Thanks for the help! |

For the detail of the game its specs are very reasonable
![]() Even on Ku Ku's hamster powered laptop ![]() Chances are Aion won't be mac compatible. Few Games are released for Mac and Windows at the same time so more than likely if they do it will be afterwards. But I could be wrong :P Last edited by Drax; 06-14-2009 at 03:42 PM.. Yup, I posted just to prove that hamster power can play But to seriously reconsider the hamsters and try bunneh's instead as their ears are longer and they're more cuddly *nod* You can play but it might not be worth the tears and hamster pokings...Since Mac's now have intel and can run windows as long as you put windows on to your mac there shouldn't be any reason why you can't play, although if you mean if its possibly to play on osx then i'd say possibly not :P I'm not a Mac expert though as i'm in love with my PC so its worth going into an apple store and chatting with a techie !Last edited by Ku Ku; 06-14-2009 at 08:14 PM.. |

I ran last weekend's beta on my laptop on decent settings.
Dual core 1.8 Ghz and an IntelMobile 965. (That's right it ran on an integrated card!) If I can run Aion at a decent level on my laptop, the majority of people can as well. My card didn't allow AA though so it wasn't perfect, but -minimum- requirements aren't high at all. P.S. I ran it on 1280 x 800 resolution. Proof; had to cut the UI out. ![]() Last edited by Hyougen; 06-15-2009 at 12:24 AM.. |

Will it work?
So I seen the "System Requirements" and I think my laptop could run it but I just want a clear answer before I go out and preorder.
Intel? Centrino? 2 processor technology with interrelated Intel? Core?2 Duo processor P8400 Intel? PM45 chipset. 4GB DDR3 memory For multitasking power. 1066MHz frontside bus, 3MB L2 cache and 2.26GHz processor speed. 320GB SATA hard drive (7200 rpm) NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS graphics Features 1GB of GDDR3 discrete video memory. Would appreciate some feedback. |
