@Fortress Swapping
It's like that : Elyos dont defend their fortresses and let asmos or balaur take it easy so there are more fortresses available to capture in next days, why?, more medals for both sides This is what happened yesterday, Section9 Got Roah fortress and it belonged to Elyos, yesterday it was vulnerable, no1 from S9 or Elyos went to defend it so that balaur or asmos can take it, in the next days the fortress shall be vulnerable again and Elyos can capture it again for more medals next patch (1.5.1) legions defending a fortress shall be awarded with medals, the medals will go to Legion Leader not sure that this will change anything, because defending a fortress takes 2hours and capturing it takes much much less time, i dont think legions will waste 2 hours for 20 medal in the end, but lets wait for next patch and see __________________ ![]() |

Indeed,
Fortress ping pong seems to be the order of the day at the moment. All of those medals in the next patch wont be a large enough incentive to bring on the large defensive situations that a lot of people seem to be hoping for. The defense seems to only benefit the legion defending it (in our case our brothers in arms too (PI) since we for one will share our medals with them). Defending is going to be a difficult task considering the unbalance between the two. VoTF and PI are continuing to work closer and closer and im glad to see that other legions are now starting to get together to help each other. VoTF + PI have recently merged Ventrillo servers to enable us far greater co-operation and to continue our efforts to be far more effective as a fighting force. Once again id like to thank our brothers in arms and look forward to strengthening that relationship as time goes on, and even possibly adding to it with other legions. ~Aneu VoTF GM |

Congratulations VoTF - great job there!
@fortress ping-pong or swapping - is a game mechanics flaw - but it just brings out the item lowers and the greedy approach. I personnally dont care about items that much and anyway not to the extent in wich to willingly participate, or ignore, the ping-pong game. So if you find partners now - enjoy while it last - once KDS will get to really engage the endgame the easy fortress swapping will get tougher - I promise you that! /salute |

I certainly do hope this so called "fortress swapping" is a very passing phase...where the nyerk is the achievement in the aforementioned method!
It's encouraging to read KDS thread tho...must say these mechanics are indeed flawed, and to see "sworn enemies" take advantage stings my Asmodian heart. Fight to the death...defending or attacking...too many times have I been at forts held by Asmo about to go Vulnerable, and not a soul there....disheartening. hope this changes asap! |

Nice to see Asmo can take over our forts when they have a big influence disadvantage, so the Elyos Deity's are gimps with low hp.
Now show you really can do something and take the first middle upper abyss fortress of the Balaur. |

Our legion 'tries'...yes 'tries' to help defend fortresses..and curretnly pretty much fail
. Yesterday we went to go defend an upper abyss fortress. We asked the holding legion to come assist in defending their own fort - and we were simply just told to nyerk ourselves - and that fort was Roah.Although the rewards are not in place at the moment...you would have atleast thought they might have had some pride...bah.... agreed tough - lets hope this is a passing phase. |

VoTF is one Asmo legion I have respect so far. Haven't saw that they run gank parties and they are very good and active at PVP in Abyss. I hope they stay that way

Grats on taking forts from Elyos, now take an upper abyss one from Balaur.
PS: Gamemechanics are weird.... When Elyos caps a fortress, next day it's vulnerable again, when Asmos cap it it stays invulnerable for 3 days. __________________ ![]() X-fire edgeofinsanity / Steam edge_of_insanity The best thing about insanity is that you're the only person not bothered by it Server: Telemachus - Ranger: Karasu - Templar: Tempthing

So dont blame other legions they were prideless... The Fortresses, who ever was able to capture them are the fortresses of the whole fraction. And sorry that it makes no sense to wait every day 2 hours for asmos to defend the fort specially if you have nothing from a fort like a fraction buff or something like that. Btw, we was captureing the first Fort for the Elyos in lower and upper Abyss because of the pride and the challenge. Last edited by Isetia; 11-13-2009 at 03:53 AM.. |

We take the fortresses with 6-12 people, we never have more than that online. We get medals, and we're happy. As it stands, there are no rewards from trying to defend besides standing around and losing 2 full hours of playtime. I'm happy to let asmo's take them off us so we can take it back for more medals
![]() as for what Isetia said, leaving the dredgion is pretty disgraceful. If it's going poorly for you, you can just clear the ready rooms, and maybe the barracks, and leave the rest to the better side. still clears 1.5-2k AP by the end of it. Not that I'm familiar with having to do that - Fate's dredgion team hasn't lost yet. Asmo's havn't really had a chance, none of the groups we've faced have been that much of a challenge.. |
