Provoke

Last weekend i used provoke (the level 10 taunt) on a mob and got instant agro....

Sounds okay, except that the assasin that was fighting the mob got its health down to 20%, i just stood by untill the beasty was near death and then used provoke. The beasty instantly ran at me.

This sounds like a tad to much, tanking should be challenging>

I dont get what you're saying. It sounded like the skill worked just fine. It's used to take agro from other people. What's wrong here?

The provoke skill is suppose to make the kittens purr~ I think he is trying to say that the hate system is weak in aion? Kinda hard to say that specially at lv10. >_>

Common, 1 skill equalls the same hate as an assasin can generate in 20 secconds, lets hope i am wrong, or it will be very easy for Templars to keep and get agro.

Be sure that later 'sins have to moderate their dps to leave hate to templar. A couple of bad crits (and crits are powerful) could turn the whole group into meat for elites if templar doesn't notice anything.

It's too early to tell really, you need a good test to really tell how much hate Provoke will give too. just saying you got instant agro once doesn't mean much, need to know how the hate drops from the mob. does the assassin lose hate overtime from taking too much damage? do you just get instant hate as a glitch from not engaging? alot of variables to go through for good information

It's not about whether it works or not, he's talking about the fact that it seems to work too well making the job so simple and more boring

if a Templar can just provoke and nothing else and hold hate...how much fun would that really be is what he's trying to get across

He's a level 10 Templar who pulled a mod from a level 10 assassin. What is there to discuss

Once you play through the group missions when your fighting elites that last longer then 3 seconds then you will see others pull hate like crazy, it ain't fun as a tank when your sorc doesn't know how to hold back. =P
