Have you Chosen the Path of Templar?

I want to be a Templar because I think the mechanics will be entertaining.

Do I really need more of a reason than that? =)

Based on CBT2 skills, the Templar has both a healing skill (which doesn't heal much) as part of a skill chain, and a healing skill, which heals for much more, but is a DP skill. I would say that he healed himself, but it could be a stigma healing skill from a Priest as well.

I already wear 150 pounds of gear/flack/zappy plates/etc. in real life, so mind as well do it in game too.

usually i sway towards dps classes ever since i played WoW from the release *70 mage, hunter, lock and kitty druid*

but with aion, i feel like the templar would be a really good class, i dnt no why ( mabye like theron said, the name has drawn me in) they just look amazing in all the videos that ive seen of the beta's

I always like the heavily armored classes. Not necessarily the tank. I find tanking boring sometimes and I'm hoping that the Templar will have some interesting mechanics to keep me interested. from what i've seen of them so far, they look very fun.

I've always loved playing the role of a tank in PVE and PVP. Just love defensive factors!

'nuff said. I've never been a guy to back down from a fight and the ability to protect your friends is important to me. I cannot bloody wait for the game to come out.

Honestly, the main reason I chose Templar as my main is probably from the Crusader class in Ragnarok Online, both in game and mainly the anime.

I Just love the concept behind it, truly gives an epic feel... I love how this game also uses the same style where you kinda start off as a novice and you have a job class that you advance into..

In w0w you start off as a class and just stay it, there's no real lore behind why you actually chose the class that you are...

I guess something else to add is the fact that not a lot of MMO's can make a tank class fun to play... going by the combo system and after watching some movies of the animations, I think I could really enjoy this class, this game seems too good to be true, it literally has everything I'm looking for in a MMO. =)

I'm not committing myself to Templar yet, but I do love tanking. I like jobs that you can be more involved with, that have responsibility, such as tanks and healers, and I had a blast playing Paladin on FFXI. The whole protect and serve thing that comes with the job is cool too, since I love being able to help people out and look after them in game.

Tanks themselves are always in demand too, which is a plus. I also like being able to actually take hits. While I love healing, I loathe how squishy most healer or support classes are. I don't care about epic damage so long as I don't die in two hits. xD

Im thinking of going Templar myself, first time rolling a Tank, but I have to play it as a main for one reason.

Angel looking guy in shining white full plate armor with a sword and a shield.... gotta love Archangel style.

Plus apart from tanking he will give group buffs, so yay to usefull!

Templar - Why? Coz currently I'm L2 Paladin and what's the best thing in Paladin? Two things - when almost everyone in party is dead paladin is still holding up and fighting and the biggest one - paladin can change results of the battles when they're sacrificing themselves for other members :P

it may seem sad but i chose templar because i like to be in a minority class and i figured that gladiators would be the majority

i think those are bandages universal to all classes u are talking about
