[Guide] How to solo Sulphur Fort Instance ;D

Ended up with 25% and 50% life left in the last two tries, DS.II, lvl39 with 225 crit. Should work like a charm with DS.III and a good load of luck

I tried this last night and only got it halfway down at level 38 with a Beast's Greatsword. I only had about 150 crit though, as I failed 33 times last night applying manastones.

I'm going to give it one more shot tonight before I wait until level 40.

No, I didn't think to use Rage to boost the damage of Shining/Divine Slash, stupid me, that would have helped a bit I'm sure.

How is it an exploit?

1) Enter an instance while in a group

2) Charge into a ton of elites and willingly eat death

3) Self rez using legitimate in game items

4) Bash on a treasure chest using a legitimate stigma

Is it an exploit because you can't do it?

Well the reason i ask is because as stated earlier it seems like these boxes have 20000 pdef. Meaning you'd have to do over 2000 damage to them in one strike before you see any numbers higher than 1.

I have to say that right now, my biggest crit from shining slash is around 2000. Meaning I probably wont get very much damage out of that. I do have a GS, but its all the way back from level 33 (currently level 43) and it does around the same damage as my xeno sword. So you can see I'm a bit worried I wont break the 2000 damage barrier even with divine slash III.

All that makes it not a hack. It's an exploit.

Update:

I finally took the time it a try. It was successful on my first try, I was using a green Worthy Adamantium Greatsword. I I used a greater physical crit scroll to seal the deal and my crit was sitting around 360 and attack at around 340 (without rage). I'm level 43 and used Rage IV before Shining Slash or Divine Slash III whenever I could to boost my damage. Shining slash never crit for over 150 and the highest crit I saw with Divine Slash was around 400.

The chest died with 5 minutes left and dropped NOTHING except a "Curious Object" which is an asmo quest giving item -_-... No kinah, no AP, no other items... I'm Elyos T.T

I'll give it one more try tomorrow, hopefully its not just bad luck.

You're too high lvl, don't bother trying again, i'm almost sure you get nothing again. I'm 42lvl and finally Sulfur is ours, so i give it a try.

That's really strange, idk how you managed to pull off 150 damage Shining Slash when your Divine Slash was only hitting for 400.

Yea, it seems like you're too high :/, which sucks, because I don't think that chest ever drops nothing, but could be wrong.

On 42 lvl drop is 77k kinah and 1500 ap

Third try ended up with 55% again. 304 atk, 380 crit at that moment. Don't really see this happening before lvl 40 / rank3.

finished my third attempt, drops keep getting worse, probably not gonna bother anymore, Im almost 43 anyway

Have done this with both my Templar (Currently lvl 41) and Ranger (43). Both have gotten very varied drops.

Ranger:
1: 6k AP and 100k kinah
2: 2k AP, 1 silver medal and 80k kinah
3: 1200 AP and 120k kinah

Templar:
1: Nothing. Failed since i used my old lvl 30 sword.
2: Elyos questitem. No kinah, no AP.
3: 7k AP and 140k kinah

You can see their gear on armorylinks in my sig. With Rage my Divine Slash hits for 320 and crits for 500+. Shining never done above 80dmg (but i've never critted it afaik). Templar has killed chest with 5+ mins to spare the 2 times i did it successfully.

So some conclussions:

Level 43 chars still get drops. Ranger has been 43 on all attempts.

Total over 6 attempts i've gotten 16200ap, deduct the cost of stones (which i had saved up for free but soon gonna need to start paying for) and it's still 13200ap, and 440k kinah which minus soulhealing still leaves 140k. Also a silver medal which runs for 150k on Perento.

So 13200ap, 1 silver medal and 140k for 20 mins/day. Worth it or not? Up to you i guess.
