How to solo Sulphur Fort Instance
Level 35-44

This was fixed in the 1.5.1 patch on 20th November 2009, it doesn't work anymore! QQ

For this you will need:
- Self Resurrection Stone (from broker, or abyss consumable vender for 500 AP)
- Divine Slash stigma
- A Greatsword
- B-B-B-Balls of Steeeel

Step 1: Invite a random person into your group so you can enter the instance
Step 2: Enter the Sulphur fort instance
Step 3: Run straight past all the mobs, directly into the middle and suicide ontop of the chest
Step 4: Die.
Step 5: When all the mobs reset, use the self res stone to revive yourself.
Step 6: Kill the box using Divine Slash & Shining Slash

Most attacks do 1 damage on the elite box, but sometimes Divine Slash will do 500+ damage on it, allowing you to kill it in a few minutes solo.

Knowing that the ranger move was based off of random damage, I assumed this would work.

However, upon testing, Shining Slash never did more than 1 damage. I did not test with Divine Slash.

well i got the idea for this when i was doing steel rake, and i hit one of the prison doors for 112 damage with divine slash (normally 1 dmg on those doors)

but yeh i think shining slash works too. ^^

That sounds very interesting but excuse my newbie question, what do sulfur instance yield? xp + ap? if so how much? items? I've never done any of the fort instances before.

Shining Slash does not work, I popped it off every time for the full 14 minutes I was up, and no go. Got it down 1/4

you need to be between lvl 30-44 to loot the box i believe

Confirmed it works, both Shining Slash and Divine Slash works.
However, Shining Slash only does up to like 40

You need Divine Slash for this to work.

Divine Slash was hitting for 350-380 when it worked, it took me 10 minutes to do.

3000 AP and 118k Kinah. More than enough to cover the 500 AP for the stone and 51k Soul Heal

does anyone know if any of the upper forts have an instance similiar to sulphur? like with a box in the middle

i'm kinda peeved that i'm too high lvl to take advantage of this ><

How did you get Shining slash to work, I hit for 1 every single time for 14 mins :P

Wish I had loaded Divine Slash before I went in but I had just undone it earlier and figured if shining worked it would just take a few extra minutes :-/
