Stone Skin, Rage, and Slash Artery

I wanted to find out if this is just me or not but for the people that are high enough to have all three of these abilities when you have stone skin up does it prevent you from using the Rage to Slash Artery chain? It seems to be preventing me from doing this and I would like to know if it is maybe something I am doing wrong or if others are noticing this as well.

Any kind of shield does not stack, so if you attempt to use Rage while another shield is up it will fail to do anything.
