Phy Def while flying?

Is there something wrong with our Phy Def while flying?
I thought Winged Defence was supposed to increase it by 10% not reduce it by 30%.

Take a look at these pictures.

Can anyone explain this?

Everyone loses physical defense while flying. Templars probably lose 10% less cause of that skill

It IS kind of hilarious overkill. We are disadvantaged in the air even without having our phy. def reduced for no reason, but phy. def isn't really that important so it's not a big issue.
