Asmodian or Elyos?

I'm playing a sorcerer and I am going Asmodian because

1. I think the black wings are amazing.
2. Based on lore I feel the Asmodians got the short end of the stick and deserve what's rightfully theirs.
3. The caster lvl 44 stigma both on a 3 min CD for Elyos Increases Magic Boost by 500 for 15secs, while the Asmodian one increases spell casting speed by 35% for 15 secs. Coupled with the lvl 28 stigma that increases Magic boost by 300 that both races can use, the Elyos Sorc will destroy you if they hit you, yes, but sometimes you don't have 35% more time. Seems as though I will get a few more spell casts at 300 extra magic boost because I'm casting 35% faster and off hand I think of getting in more Shoot fire's in an Air Shackle which is big dmg.

These are only my opinions and thoughts. Each side has its pros/cons which will be different to everyone depending on your style of gameplay. So weigh your options, do your homework, and in the end play something that you will enjoy having played at the end of the day. If that happens to be Elyos, I'll see you in the abyss.

You can't activate both skill and stigma at the same time. They share the same CD.
You won't be able to double speed cast or speed cast + magic boost or double magic boost etc

Asmo get all the best skills that are faction specific, as far as PvP goes... I dont care about PvE...

Chastisement of Darkness I > Divine Chastisement I

The Asmo one is good vs. anyone. The Elyos one is only good vs. melee and ranger, and even then, a Templar with a shield blocks enough on his own, he doesnt really need to waste DP on a shield block, which is all DC is... The Asmo DP absorbs a lot AND reflects damage. Ours just gives us a block buff... whoopy friggin do... Asmo skill caters to both 1h with shield and 2h setups... whereas Elyos is for 1h with shield.

Slash Artery I > Brandish Shield I

Asmo version once again caters to 1h with shield and 2h setups. Asmo version is part of a chain, whereas the Elyos version requires you to have a shield because the skill cannot be used unless you block, making it unreliable. Sure the Elyos version does more direct DPS, but the Asmo one does the same damage once the bleed runs its course, plus its more reliable because its part of a chain that doesnt require a friggin block of all things... Once again for Elyos its only useful vs. melee and ranger.

Punishment of Death God I = Punishment of Empyrean Lord I

This one is debatable. The stun is really helpful when used right, but the Asmo one returning HP is huge too. I'll just call this a draw.

huh, the con of the ely first one you mention is that it makes you block but templars block enough as is

then the con of the second ely one you mention is that since its a block followup its too unpredictable?

i think the block counter will end up being the better skill of those two.

Dont think it makes up for the 2k DP skill though which asmo obviously gets the better end of the deal on.

I think its partially fair to give asmos better DP skills as it is most liely that the asmos will be lacking numbers during PvP
