Gladiator or Templar - Page 23

Why choose any class just because it's easier/faster to level? There is no purpose to that unless you choose to stop playing the game, or level up something new when you hit level 50.

This game, like any other MMO, doesn't really start until endgame. That's when your class matters. Leveling is fun and all, but you're going to hit max level regardless of the class you choose. If you like the play style of the Glad more than the Temp, then that's one thing... but just say that!

What's an extra day of leveling when you're playing the class/role that you enjoy more?

When i got a glimp of this topic i thought Gladiator would overrule Templar very much.

But im glad to see alot of people are making Templars, Chanters and Celerics, we need them alot and i know from previous
mmorgs that there was always a lack of them (because they were not good balanced with the dps), an no im not only talking about WoW.

Anyway, the first day i seen AION i chose Templar and never changed my taughts, i know it will be hard to level, but glad i have a nice legion wich will support me trough out the game, always been Duelist/ShilienTemplar on Lineage2 ... Obvious

Im choosing to be a templar at launch. ive never played a tank before in an mmo, but in the last CBT i lvled a temp up to 16 (which i know isnt high, but i still had fun). unfortunatly i didnt get the chance to pvp with it at all, but i did get the chance to do some group PvE and it was the most fun id had in an mmo yet.

i realize a temp wont be god in pvp, but i plan on pvping in groups with a few of my friends who are going to be playing and i look forward to having some good fun

Templars for the tank and spank simple enough. PvE tanking is what I was born to do.

The playstyles are just different.

If you are into a higher DPS character, go for the gladiator.
If tanking and spanking appeals more, roll a templar.

Either way, you'll have fun.

I'm personally feeling the Gladiator because I went through WoW with a ret paladin and an arms warrior, so i'm just an "in your face" type of person I guess.

Well, if you want to be able to survive and heal yourself a bit, I would go with Templar. (my personal favorite) But if you want to do major damage, then go gladiator. Templars are mainly for tanking and tacking all the damage when gladiators are damage dealers. So I guess your choice is between a major damage dealer, or a health maniac who can heal themselves. Hope this helps
