Gladiator or Templar

Only two classes are always really necessary for groups/raids : Tank and heal. You'll never have a problem finding a group.
The only thing is, if these two don't have a specific and real impact in PvP, i fear many people are going to play DDs instead and just leave these two aside.

Animations for both templars and gladiators look nice, hell for all i know all the animations of all classes look badass.
Gladiator with a 2 handed sword looks sweet, and probably won't require that much skill in PvE at least. Templar is a position leading to more responsibilities, leading the group, pulling and so on.

Statistic based upon my own experience say there are a LOT less of tanks and healers in PvP games than any other class, and if this game relies as everyone says on PvP to go forward, It might be hard to evolve as one. It's just a cliche thinking i have actually.

I personally have my eyes on 3 classes so far : the sorcerer, the cleric and the templar. Reasons why? Nukers are always overpowered in all PvP games, range often beats everything else, the healer is a very important role that only few people usually play good, and the tank is a responsible place to hold to make a group survive out there.

I chose templar regarding the poll.

Templar because i've always loved tanking, from my lvl 75 pld from FFXI, after i lost it i was devistated and i cant wait to get back into tanking!

i voted as a gladiator because i like being the one hitting all the big melee damage... but yeh i usually play as the classes that do the damage and not stand there taking in hits.

Templar here. Why? Simply because this seems to be the first game to have tanks that can do some damage and actually not sit there and only take hits. I look forward to playing a Templar.

im gonna be a gladiator just because you get a huge sword and shiny armor 8)... and the moves look sick

how much more of a tank does everyone thing the templar will be over the gladiator?

I'm sure it will work something like, Templars can do well vs Gladiators in damage absorb, but the assassin might have some way to weakening armor or whatnot to allow it to deal more damage vs heavily armored opponents...or something around there.

The say it's showing to me is, Templar if you like to tank and distract, or gladiator if you like to DPS and take a more hulk smash'' play style.

If you want to chop something.....try AoC. Aions' pixels are to valuable to get chopped !

I will go Templar because i want to try a tank this time around, wish there was a BD-like class like in l2 though
