I'll choose Templar, because i like playing as a tank and i was borned to play it, on other games like Lineage 2 and WoW, i played as a tanker and i owned, so hope i'll own with templar on aion too

I've played a tank for a long time in other mmo's, so I'll be going for the Gladiator for a change. Also tried a lot of ranged DD, and pretty tired of standing back. So hopefully this'll be the up-close and personal, damage dealing type I've been looking for, with hopefully as little to no tanking demanded.

Templars and Gladiators are the only two classes who wear heavy armor. Gladiators also have a shield option & Templars also have a Dual Wield Option. The way I see things: Gladiator can tank & Templar can deal damage, but we all know whose designed to do what specifically and that they both differ in their skill sets after switching from being Warriors.

I'm going Templar because I have always played a heavy armor class with a shield (Sword Singer in Lineage 2). After reading up on the skills alotted to everyone so far, Templar has a diverse range of skills. I always play the good guy (or who seems like it) so I'll definetly be Elyos and look forward to those instant heals and the ability to take 70% of my parties damage to myself. Looks like I'll be looking into lots of defense & HP for a pvp setup. Tanks are looking like they will definetly make or break a party for pvp and definetly pve.

After much thought, I've decided on Gladiator.

You don't need to be a tank to help your allies. You can run in, smash their enemies with a big sword and move on. As previously mentioned, a good offense is the best defense.

As for PvP, in the abyss it's going to be very team orientated, I'd rather be able to fly around smashing my enemies to pieces than having to tank against one enemy for a few minutes.

Yes. But, "Offense wins battles. Defense wins wars." =P

But we're all different with different mindsets and what we want to do. It's gonna be great!

its obvious that templar knights are far superior than glads... because glads arent very smart they rush into battle without thinking and they smell funny too. Yes they are big bulky doodoo birds with chain mail armor but instead of using your sword against them u can just out smart then, and thats what i call strategic manuvers.

Gladiator 100% sure. I really hate playing a game as a tank. I always just find tanking and casting off defensive skills constantly extremely easy and boring. I don't like the fact that defensive tanks are always in the thick of it, but actually unable to be as effective offensively as the other classes. Teamwork is great, but you don't always have a team.
