Warrior School...Plz take me to it! :)

So my warrior is lvl 9 right now. Having only played WoW as an MMO, I really enjoying the complexity and choices to be made in Aion. The next level I will have to choose Glad or Templar. I have been trying to read these forums to learn stuff, but am still confused about a few things...if you ahve any of these answers, please help me.

1. I have yet to ever use my MP. Will I in the future or is there something that I am not currently doing?

2. My current rotation is usually Weaking Blow=>Ferocious strike=>Rage=>Sheild Block thing=>Sheild Counter=> Ferocious Strike etc.. Is this the best way of going about it?

3. I play to PvP...so Im assuming Im going gladiator, however I heard through the grapevine that Templars are the best class in the game in PvP?

4. I tried to duel a priest that was 2 levels lower than me and he absolutley laughed at me as he healed through my DPS and then killed me.

5. ANYthing else that I should know would be really REALLY helpful. I am a noob and if you could direct me to a guide or other posts that I should read, I would be really appreciative.

THANKS!

Well I'm not very experienced myself but I will tell you what I know so far. Correct me if I am wrong..

1. You will need MP for some attacks but not alot, and that won't be in the future around the Level 15-20's

2. That is the current way of going it, yes.. BUT there will be many more chain skills available. Here is a good example

3. Gladiator= group PVP, Templar= solo PVP

4. Yeah, that is going to happen alot. You have to get them close to you somehow.. Gladiators got Ankle Snare, and Templars got Inescapable Judgement.

5. Well, I'm not sure about Gladiator, but there is a very good Templar FAQ stickied right at the Templar section of this forum Templar FAQ

I hope this helped

You will use MP for almost everything you do in the future, but you will never use so much of it that you need MP manastones. You probably won't ever need mana potions either unless somehow you manage to go on killing for hours and hours nonstop.

Pretty much. I do Weakening Blow -> Ferocious Strike -> Rage -> Shield Defense -> hack away until the mob is a little under 50% -> Shield Counter -> Weakening Severe Blow (if up) -> Ferocious Strike -> whatever the offensive chain 2 is (I forget the name). Usually after the second chain the mob will be dead at your level. (The rotation changes as you progress and get more skills, so don't be afraid to adapt as you level. It will change quite a lot if you become a Gladiator, as you will rarely be using a shield at all.)

Both Templars and Gladiators can do very well in PvP. Both are late bloomers, though the Gladiator is far, far more of a late bloomer than the Templar. The Templar plays more defensively, too, and will demand more patience and tactics in early-mid PvP. Because both Glads and Templars are limited to melee, too, it will take awhile before you learn how to use your skills to actually kill opponents. Oftentimes, they can just run away if you're not careful.

Don't bother with duels as a warrior until 25+. Especially against Priest classes. Clerics and Chanter will own your face every single time until your character gets more skills. They're still hard to kill late game, but on the bright side, they won't kill you either.

There's tons to say about both Glads and Templars. I suggest you do some heavy duty Googling. Basically, though, if you like wielding a pole arm or two weapons and going Chuck Norris on anything that moves, Gladiator is for you. (You'll need some patience for that though--like I said Glads are very late bloomers in terms of PvP capability.) If you like being a turtle/tank, go Templar. They're very different classes, so to get a better idea of what they can do, I suggest you check out their skills here: AionArmory - Aion Database.
