You get the designs on the hidden Shugo island in the upper abyss, you will know where once you do the lvl 38 campain quest.

I know where the Island is by the way, question is, can I actually get there before I hit 38... will be trying tonight.

You only need about 80 seconds of flight to get there, easy to do pre 38

Tigraki merchant told me I had to be more skilled, anyone been able to get a pattern without expert?

No, you have to be an expert. All Balic recipes start at 400.

FYI... you can also upgrade your bags on this island. I now have 81 slots at level 31

Ok. So apparently I cannot make a new thread until I prove myself worthy enough (according to the email) by posting in existing threads.

Unfortunately, I didn't see my question anywhere on here, so I'll just ask it here, as this is about as close as I've seen.

I am trying to get the "Black Dragon King's Sword" and "Black Dragon King's Greatsword" recipes.

I have:

Black Dragon's Dagger (x8)
Black Dragon King's Dagger (x5)
Black Dragon's Mace (x6)
Black Dragon King's Mace (x4)
Black Dragon's Sword (x8)
Black Dragon's Greatsword (x4)
Black Dragon's Polearm (x9)
Black Dragon King's Polearm (x6)

None of which can be traded or sold on the trade broker.

That's a lot of Balaur Hearts, and I'm becoming more than a little concerned that the Shugo doesn't hand out the sword/greatsword designs - given how many I've turned in, and NO Tier 2 Sword design yet for either of the lvl 40 swords.

Has anyone actually gotten one of the Black Dragon King's Sword recipes from the shugo from handing in Balaur Hearts?

Additionally, if somone out there HAS a recipe, where did you get it, sort of same vein, but it may drop somewhere else, or it may drop from a hot balaur heart turn-in??? I've only turned in 3 of the Hot Balaur Hearts, and so far no duplicates on those.

I got the White Dragon King's Sword and Greatsword designs, can't remember if I got them with Balaur Hearts or Hot Balaur Hearts though.

I have all the Black/King recipes except the polearm. Just not worth it at this point to keep pouring blue hearts down the drain.

Hot hearts are pretty cool, go for 500k+ per and out of two tries I got a repeat on the second one.
